Gas cylinders - 17E and 25E taper threads for connection of valves to gas cylinders - Part 1: Specifications (ISO 11363-1:2010)

ISO 11363-1:2010 specifies dimensions and tolerances for taper screw threads of nominal diameter 17,4 mm (designated 17E) and 25,8 mm (designated 25E) used for the connection of valves to gas cylinders.
It does not cover the connection requirements for:
mechanical strength;
gas tightness;
capability of repeated assembly and dismounting operations.
Gauge inspection is covered by ISO 11363-2.

Dieser Teil der ISO 11363 legt Maße und Grenzabmaße für kegelige Schraubengewinde mit einem Nenndurchmesser
von 17,4 mm (als 17E bezeichnet) und 25,8 mm (als 25E bezeichnet) für die Verbindung von
Ventilen mit Gasflaschen fest.
Er enthält keine Anforderungen an die Verbindung hinsichtlich:
⎯ der mechanischen Festigkeit;
⎯ der Gasdichtheit;
⎯ der Fähigkeit, wiederholtes Zusammenfügen und Lösen zu überstehen.
Die Lehrenprüfung ist in ISO 11363-2 beschrieben.

L'ISO 11363-1:2010 spécifie les dimensions et tolérances des filetages coniques à vis, de diamètre nominal 17,4 mm (désigné 17E) et 25,8 mm (désigné 25E), utilisés pour raccorder les robinets sur les bouteilles à gaz.
Elle ne comporte pas les exigences de raccordement suivantes:
résistance mécanique;
étanchéité au gaz;
capacité à répéter les opérations de montage et de démontage.
Les calibres de contrôle font l'objet de l'ISO 11363-2.

Ta del ISO 11363 določa dimenzije in tolerance za konična navoja vijakov z nominalnim premerom 17,4 mm (oznaka 17E) in 25,8 mm (oznaka 25E), ki se uporabljata za priključitev ventila na plinsko jeklenko. Ne zajema zahtev za priključitev za: – mehansko trdnost; - nepropustnost za pline; - sposobnost večkratnih operacij sestavljanja in razstavljanja. Pregled merilnika je zajet v ISO 11363-2.

This document (EN ISO 11363-1:2010) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 58 "Gas
cylinders" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 23 “Transportable gas cylinders” the secretariat
of which is held by BSI.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical
text or by endorsement, at the latest by November 2010, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn
at the latest by November 2010.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent
rights. CEN [and/or CENELEC] shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
