Railway applications - Track - Rail - Part 3: Check rails
This European Standard specifies check rail profiles which have been designed for this purpose. It does not cover guard rails which are to protect vehicle, bridge, viaduct and other structures in the event of a derailment.
Three grades of steel and five rail profiles are specified.

Diese Dokument legt Schienenprofile fest, die speziell für die Anwendung als Radlenker konstruiert wurden, und gilt nicht für Führungsschienen, die dafür bestimmt sind, bei Entgleisungen das Fahrzeug selbst sowie Brücken und andere Bauten zu schützen.
Drei Stahlsorten und fünf Schienenprofile sind festgelegt.

La présente partie de la Norme européenne spécifie les profils de contre-rails. Elle ne concerne pas les rails de sécurité dont le rôle est de protéger les véhicules, les ponts, les viaducs et autres structures dans le cas d'un déraillement.
