Air filters for general air cleaning - Terminology

This European Standard is applicable to air filters used for general ventilation.
It does not apply to filters for road vehicles and internal combustion engines. Dust separators for the purpose of air pollution control are also excluded.
This European Standard establishes a terminology for the air filtration industry and comprises terms, definitions, symbols and units.

Luftfilter für allgemeine Luftreinigung - Terminologie

Diese Europäische Norm gilt für Luftfilter, die zur all-gemeinen Luftreinigung verwendet werden. Sie um-fasst Luftfilter für Lüftungs- und Klima-tisierungszwecke sowie für technische Zwecke in Reinlufträumen bzw. Filteranwendungen in der Kernindustrie und der pharmazeutischen Industrie.
Sie gilt nicht für Filter für Straßenfahrzeuge und Ver-brennungsmotore. Staubabscheider zur Minderung der Luftverschmutzung sind ebenfalls nicht erfasst.
Diese Europäische Norm legt eine Terminologie für die Filterindustrie fest und enthält Begriffe, Defini-tionen, Symbole und Einheiten.
