This European Standard specifies the minimum requirements for the safety, strength and durability of all types of outdoor seating for adults, without regard to materials, design/construction or manufacturing processes.
It does not apply to street furniture.
It does not apply to removable upholstery and covering.
It does not include requirements for the durability of castors/wheels and height adjustment mechanisms.
It does not include requirements for electrical safety.
It does not include requirements for the resistance to ageing and degradation caused by light, temperature and moisture.
The test requirements contained within this standard are based on use by persons weighing up to 110 kg.

Diese Europäische Norm legt die Mindestanforderungen an die Sicherheit, Festigkeit und Dauerhaltbarkeit für alle Arten von Außensitzmöbeln für Erwachsene, unabhängig von Werkstoffen, Design/Konstruktion oder Herstellungsprozessen, fest.
Sie gilt nicht für öffentlich aufgestellte Straßenmöbel.
Sie gilt nicht für abnehmbare Polster und Bezüge.
Sie enthält keine Anforderungen an die Dauerhaltbarkeit von Rollen/Rädern und an Mechanismen zur Höhenverstellung.
Sie enthält keine Anforderungen an die elektrische Sicherheit.
Sie enthält keine Anforderungen an die Alterungsbeständigkeit und an durch Licht, Temperatur und Feuchtigkeit verursachte Qualitätsminderungen.
Die in dieser Norm enthaltenen Prüfanforderungen beruhen auf dem Gebrauch durch Personen mit einem Körpergewicht bis zu 110 kg.

La présente Norme européenne spécifie les exigences minimales en matière de sécurité, de résistance et de durabilité de tous les types de sièges d’extérieur pour adultes, indépendamment de la nature des matériaux, de la conception/construction ou des procédés de fabrication.
Elle ne s’applique pas au mobilier urbain.
Elle ne s’applique pas aux garnissages amovibles et revêtements.
Elle n’inclut pas d’exigences relatives à la durabilité des roues/roulettes et des mécanismes de réglage de la hauteur.
Elle n’inclut pas d’exigences relatives à la sécurité électrique.
Elle n’inclut pas d’exigences relatives à la résistance au vieillissement et aux détériorations dues à la lumière, à la température et à l’humidité.
Les exigences d’essai contenues dans la présente norme sont basées sur un usage par des personnes pesant jusqu’à 110 kg.

Ta dokument ne velja za zunanje pohištvo za intenzivno javno uporabo, pri katerem so lahko potrebne strožje zahteve, ne za snemljivo oblazinjenje in prevleke, trajno pritrjeno pohištvo ali cestno opremo. Preskusne zahteve, ki jih vsebuje ta evropski standard, temeljijo na uporabi osebe, ki tehta največ 110 kg.
