Winter maintenance equipment - Spreading machines (gritting machines) - Part 1: General requirements and definitions for spreading machines

Demands on design and construction of bulk spreaders, trailer spreaders and towed spreaders with speed related spreading for winter service are determined by this document. At the same time, information is given on the minimum content required for operating manuals.
The standard is valid for machines which are used to spread the following media:
a)   spreading agents with or without pre-wetted agent;
b)   abrasive spreading agents;
c)   brine.
The following points are not covered by this standard:
-   requirements for registration and approval;
-   requirements made by automobile manufacturers;
-   requirements on safety – these are dealt with in EN 13021.

Winterdienstausrüstung - Streumaschinen - Teil 1: Allgemeine Anforderungen und Angaben für Streumaschinen

Die Norm legt Anforderungen an Ausführung und Bauweise von aufgesetzten, aufgebauten und gezogenen Streumaschinen mit geschwindigkeitsabhängiger Streuung für den Winterdienst fest. Gleichzeitig enthält sie Angaben zu dem erforderlichen Mindestinhalt der Betriebsanleitungen.
Diese Norm gilt für Maschinen, die zum Streuen folgender Stoffe eingesetzt werden:
a)   feste Taustoffe mit oder ohne Anfeuchtung;
b)   abstumpfende Streustoffe;
c)   Taustofflösungen.
Die folgenden Punkte werden in dieser Norm nicht behandelt:
-   Anforderungen an Registrierung und Zulassung;
-   Anforderungen seitens der Automobilhersteller;
Sicherheitsanforderungen - Diese werden in EN 13021 behandelt.

Le présent document détermine les exigences relatives à la conception et à la fabrication des épandeuses, des remorques d'épandage et des épandeuses tractées, avec un épandage qui dépend de la vitesse, pour le service hivernal. Des informations relatives au contenu minimum exigé dans les manuels d'utilisation sont décrites en parallèle.
La présente norme est valable pour des machines servant à épandre les produits suivants :
a)   produits d'épandage avec ou sans agent liquide ;
b)   produits d'épandage abrasifs ;
c)   saumure.
La présente norme ne couvre pas les aspects suivants :
-   exigences d'enregistrement et d'agrément ;
-   exigences imposées par les constructeurs d'automobiles ;
-   exigences de sécurité -  celles-ci sont traitées par l'EN13021.

Ta dokument opredeljuje zahteve glede načrtovanja in izgradnje silosnih, priklopnih in vlečnih posipalnikov za zimske storitve in s posipanjem, odvisnim od hitrosti. Hkrati podaja informacije o minimalni vsebini, ki mora biti zajeta v navodilih za uporabo. Standard velja za stroje, ki se uporabljajo za posipanje naslednjih sredstev: a) sredstva za posipanje z ali brez vnaprej navlaženih sredstev; b) abrazivna sredstva za posipanje; c) slanica. Standard ne pokriva naslednjih točk: zahtev za registracijo in odobritev; zahtev avtomobilskih proizvajalce; zahtev glede varnosti – le-te obravnava EN 13021.

Introduction This document is meant to assess the demands made on mobile spreading machines operated in traffic. Spreaders/gritters are to be operated in such way that homogeneous distribution of spreading agents is given within the set spreading dosage, spreading width and spreading track asymmetry.
