Anwendungsbereich
Dieser Teil der ISO 11680 enthält sicherheitstechnische Anforderungen und die Feststellung deren Übereinstimmung für die Gestaltung und Konstruktion von handgehaltenen Hochentastern (nachfolgend als ¿Hochentaster" bezeichnet) mit integriertem Verbrennungsmotor als Antrieb, die mit einer Antriebswelle zur Kraftübertragungen auf die Schneidgarnitur ausgestattet sind. Die behandelten Schneidgarnituren sind Sägeketten, scherenartige Schneidvorrichtungen und rotierende Kreissägeblätter.
Dieser Teil der ISO 11680 beschreibt Verfahren für die Beseitigung oder Verringerung von Gefährdungen, die durch ihren Einsatz entstehen. Außerdem legt er die Art der Informationen für sichere Arbeitsweisen fest, die vom Hersteller zur Verfügung zu stellen sind. Das Risiko des Kontaktes oder der unmittelbaren Nähe zu Starkstromleitungen wird abgesehen von Warnhinweisen und Hinweisen in der Betriebsanleitung in dieser Norm nicht behandelt. Zu diesem Risiko müssen Prüfmethoden und Anforderungen erarbeitet werden.
Die Liste der signifikanten Gefährdungen, die Maßnahmen zur Verminderung des Risikos erfordern, ist im Anhang A enthalten.
Die Gefährdung der Umwelt wird in dieser Norm nicht in Betracht gezogen.
Dieser Teil der ISO 11680 gilt in erster Linie für Hochentaster, die nach dem Ausgabedatum der Norm hergestellt worden sind.

The text of the International Standard ISO 11680-1:2000 has been prepared by Technical
Committee ISO/TC 23 "Tractors and machinery for agriculture and forestry" in collaboration
with Technical Committee CEN/TC 144 "Tractors and machinery for agriculture and forestry",
the secretariat of which is held by AFNOR.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication
of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by February 2001, and conflicting national
standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by February 2001.
This European Standard has been prepared under a mandate given to CEN by the European
Commission and the European Free Trade Association, and supports essential requirements
of EU Directive(s).
For relationship with EU Directive(s), see informative Annex ZB, which is an integral part of
this standard.
