ISO 3673-2:2012 specifies the methods of preparation of test specimens and the test methods to be used in determining the properties of crosslinked epoxy resins. The properties determined have been selected from the general test methods in ISO 10350‑1:2007.
Test methods for the determination of the properties of non-crosslinked epoxy resins are not included in this part of ISO 3673.
NOTE Test methods for non-crosslinked epoxy resins are specified in ISO 18280.

Dieser Teil von ISO 3673 legt die Verfahren für die Herstellung von Probekörpern und die zur Bestimmung der Eigenschaften von vernetzten Epoxidharzen anzuwendenden Prüfverfahren fest. Die zu bestimmenden Eigenschaften wurden aus den allgemeinen Prüfverfahren in ISO 10350 1:2007 ausgewählt.
Prüfverfahren für die Bestimmung der Eigenschaften von unvernetzten Epoxidharzen sind nicht Gegenstand dieses Teiles von ISO 3673.
ANMERKUNG Prüfverfahren für unvernetzte Epoxidharze sind in ISO 18280 festgelegt.
Um reproduzierbare und vergleichbare Prüfergebnisse zu erhalten, ist es notwendig, die hierin festgelegten Verfahren für die Prüfung, Probenherstellung und -konditionierung sowie die festgelegten Probekörpermaße anzuwenden. Ermittelte Werte stimmen nicht unbedingt mit Ergebnissen überein, die mit Probekörpern erhalten werden, die andere Maßen haben oder nach anderen Verfahren hergestellt wurden.
Bezüglich der Bestimmung von Eigenschaften und der Herstellung von Probekörpern für Produkte auf Epoxidbasis gibt es weitere Normen, auf die erforderlichenfalls verwiesen wird.

L'ISO 3673-2:2012 spécifie les méthodes de préparation des éprouvettes et les méthodes d'essai à appliquer pour déterminer les propriétés des résines époxydes réticulées. Les propriétés déterminées ont été choisies parmi les méthodes d'essai générales de l'ISO 10350-1:2007.
Les méthodes d'essai utilisées pour déterminer les propriétés des résines époxydes non réticulées ne sont pas comprises dans l'ISO 3673-2:2012.
Les méthodes d'essai relatives aux résines époxydes non réticulées sont spécifiées dans l'ISO 18280.

Ugotovljene lastnosti so bile izbrane na podlagi splošnih preskusnih metod iz standarda ISO 10350-1:2007. Preskusne metode za ugotavljanje lastnosti epoksidnih smol brez mrežaste strukture niso vključene v ta del standarda ISO 3673.

Foreword

1 Scope
This part of ISO 3673 specifies the methods of preparation of test specimens and the test methods to be used
in determining the properties of crosslinked epoxy resins. The properties determined have been selected from
the general test methods in ISO 10350-1:2007.
Test methods for the determination of the properties of non-crosslinked epoxy resins are not included in this
part of ISO 3673.
NOTE Test methods for non-crosslinked epoxy resins are specified in ISO 18280.
In order to obtain reproducible and comparable test results, it is necessary to use the test methods, sample
preparation and conditioning, and specimen dimensions specified herein. Values determined will not
necessarily be identical to those obtained using test specimens of different dimensions or prepared using
different procedures.
Other standards exist concerning the determination of properties and preparation of test specimens for epoxy-
based products, to which reference will be made, if required.

3 Preparation of test specimens
3.1 General
This procedure is used only for the determination of crosslinked-resin properties.
It is essential that specimens are always prepared by the same procedure, using the same processing
conditions. The specimens on which the properties are measured shall be cut from sheets of crosslinked resin,
produced by a casting process. In view of the numerous possible fields of application for epoxy resins, the
choice was made to prepare test specimens from resins not containing any filler or reinforcement in order to
obtain the intrinsic properties of the crosslinked polymer, free of structural additives.
Sheets of thermosetting resin shall be manufactured at 2 mm, 3 mm and 4 mm thickness, as required, for the
