Diese Internationale Norm beschreibt ein Verfahren für die vertikale Schwingprüfung an versandfertigen Packstücken und Ladeeinheiten, unter Verwendung einer rauschförmigen Anregung ).
Diese Prüfung kann dazu verwendet werden, die Festigkeit eines Packstückes und seines Schutzvermögens unter vertikaler Schwinganregung zu überprüfen. Sie kann entweder als Einzelprüfung durchgeführt werden, um die Auswirkung vertikaler Schwingbelastung zu untersuchen, oder als Teil eines Prüfprogramms zur Ermittlung der Widerstandsfähigkeit einer Verpackung im Rahmen eines bestimmten Verteilungssystems (Transportkette), das Schwingbelastungen einschließt.
ANMERKUNG   Im nachfolgenden Text wird ein Packstück oder eine Ladeeinheit als Prüfling bezeichnet.

Foreword
The text of ISO 13355:2001 has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 122
"Packaging" of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and has been taken over
as EN ISO 13355:2003 by Technical Committee CEN/TC 261 "Packaging", the secretariat of
which is held by AFNOR.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of
an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by November 2003, and conflicting national
standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by November 2003.
According to the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations, the national standards organizations of
the following countries are bound to implement this European Standard: Austria, Belgium, Czech
Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy,
