This European Standard specifies detailed functional requirements for the commissioning, operation and maintenance of
•   industrial gas installations and assemblies with an operating pressure greater than 0,5 bar and of
•   non-industrial installations (residential and commercial) with an operating pressure greater than 5 bar,
starting from the outlet of the network operator’s point of delivery up to the inlet connection to the gas appliance; normally the inlet isolation valve. This European Standard also covers the inlet connection to the gas appliance comprising of the pipework that does not fall within the scope of the appliance standard.
This standard applies to gas installations operating at ambient temperatures between –20 °C and 40 °C and operating pressures up to and including 60 bar. For operating conditions outside these limitations, reference should additionally be made to EN 13480 for metallic pipework.
For industrial gas installations up to and including 0,5 bar and for non-industrial (residential and commercial) gas installations up to and including 5 bar EN 1775 applies.
For gas installations that do not fall within the scope of EN 1775 or other European Standards, this European Standard applies.
In this European Standard, the term “gas“ refers to combustible gases, which are gaseous at 15 °C and 1 013 mbar absolute atmospheric pressure. These gases are commonly referred to as manufactured gas, natural gas or Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG). They are also referred to as first, second or third family gases (see table 1 of EN 437:2003).
LPG storage vessels (including all ancillaries fitted directly to storage vessels) are excluded. Also excluded are LPG installations and sections of LPG installations operating at vapour pressure (e.g. between the storage vessel and its pressure regulator).

Diese Europäische Norm legt detailliert die funktionalen Anforderungen hinsichtlich Inbetriebnahme, Betrieb und Instandhaltung von
   industriellen Gasleitungsanlagen und Baugruppen mit einem Betriebsdruck größer 0,5 bar und
   nicht industriellen Gasleitungsanlagen in Gebäuden (Haushalte und Gewerbebetriebe) mit einem Betriebsdruck größer 5 bar,
beginnend am Ausgangsanschluss der Übergabestelle des Netzbetreibers bis zum Eingang der Gasgeräte; d. h. in der Regel der Absperreinrichtung vor dem Gerät, fest. Diese Europäische Norm gilt auch für die Anschlussleitungen von Gasgeräten, die nicht in den Anwendungsbereich der Gasgeräte-Norm fallen.
Diese Europäische Norm gilt für den Betrieb von Gasleitungsanlagen bei Umgebungstemperaturen zwischen 20 °C und 40 °C mit Betriebsdrücken bis einschließlich 60 bar. Bei Betriebszuständen außerhalb dieser Bereiche wird zusätzlich auf die EN 13480 für metallische Leitungsanlagen verwiesen.

In der vorliegenden Europäischen Norm bezeichnet der Begriff Gas brennbare Gase, die bei einer Temperatur von 15 °C und einem absoluten atmosphärischen Druck von 1 013 mbar in gasförmigem Zustand vorliegen. La présente norme spécifie les exigences fonctionnelles détaillées relatives à la mise en service, à
l’exploitation et à la maintenance:
⎯ des installations et ensembles de gaz industriels fonctionnant à une pression supérieure à 0,5 bar et
aux
⎯ installations de gaz non industrielles (résidentielles et commerciales) fonctionnant à une pression
supérieure à 5 bar
allant de la sortie du point de livraison de l’opérateur de réseau jusqu’à la connexion d’entrée de l’appareil à
gaz, normalement le robinet de sectionnement d’entrée. Cette norme couvre aussi la connexion d’entrée de
l’appareil à gaz comprenant la tuyauterie qui n’est pas couverte par la norme de l’appareil.
La présente norme s’applique aux installations de gaz fonctionnant à des températures ambiantes comprises
entre –20 °C et 40 °C et des pressions de service inférieures ou égales à 60 bar. Pour des conditions
d’exploitation à l’extérieur de ces limites, il convient qu’il soit fait référence à la norme EN 13480 concernant
les tuyauteries métalliques.
Pour les installations de gaz industrielles inférieures ou égales à 0,5 bar et pour les installations de gaz non
industrielles (résidentielles et commerciales) fonctionnant à une pression inférieure ou égale à 5 bar, c’est
l’EN 1775 qui s’applique.
La présente norme s’applique aux installations de gaz qui n’entrent pas dans le domaine d’application de la
norme EN 1775 ou d’autres normes européennes.
Dans la présente Norme, le terme “gaz“ se rapporte à des gaz combustibles se présentant sous forme
gazeuse à 15 °C et à 1 013 mbar de pression atmosphérique absolue. Ces gaz sont couramment appelés gaz
