This standard will ensure that impacts on curtain walling will not put at risk the structural safety of the building or make part of the building liable to fall or to cause a serious injury to people inside or outside the building.
Vorhangfassaden - Stoßfestigkeit - Leistungsanforderungen
Diese Norm legt Leistungsanforderungen an Vorhangfassaden (ausgenommen "Glas im Bauwesen", die in EN 12600 festgelegt sind) unter den Bedingungen einer in der vorliegenden Norm festgelegten und nach EN 13049 geprüften Stoßbelastung mit weichem Stoßkörper fest.
Die Kriterien sind auf die Sicherheit von Personen und Unversehrtheit der Vorhangfassade im Falle von plötzlich auf die Oberfläche von Vorhangfassaden einwirkenden Stoßkräften gerichtet. Die Erfüllung der Leistungsanforderung wird durch eine Laborprüfung bestimmt.
Diese Norm gilt für die Bereiche von Vorhangfassaden, die entweder innen oder außen an Bereiche menschlicher Tätigkeit angrenzen und berücksichtigt zufällige Stoßbelastungen, die von Menschen verursacht werden, die ihren normalen täglichen Beschäftigungen nachgehen, und Stoßbelastungen, die von Ausrüstungen und gleichartigen Geräten für Instandhaltung, Reinigung, Reparatur und ähnliche gelegentliche Tätigkeiten hervorgerufen werden.
Diese Norm enthält keine Festlegungen für Leistungsanforderungen an Stoßbelastungen unter außergewöhnlichen Umständen wie Vandalismus, Verkehrsunfälle, Einwirkung von Geschossen aus Schusswaffen usw.
Diese Norm hat keine Auswirkungen auf eventuell vorhandene nationale Bau-, Gesundheits- und Arbeitsschutzvorschriften, deren Anforderungen unabhängig und parallel zu diesen Leistungsanforderungen gelten.
Façades rideaux - Résistance au choc - Prescriptions de performance
La présente norme définit des prescriptions relatives à la performance des façades rideaux (hormis le verre dans la construction qui est traité dans l'EN 12600) lorsqu'elles sont soumises aux critères spécifiés plus bas d'énergie de choc provoquée par l'impact d'un corps mou et soumises à essai conformément au prEN 13049.
Les critères visent la sécurité d'emploi et l'intégrité de la façade rideau en cas de choc soudain sur sa surface. La conformité aux prescriptions de performance est déterminée par un essai de laboratoire.
La présente norme est applicable aux zones de la façade rideau qui sont tournées, vers l'intérieur ou vers l'extérieur, sur des zones d'activité humaine et tient compte des chocs accidentels provoqués par des personnes vaquant à leurs activités quotidiennes normales ainsi que des chocs provoqués par des matériels ou autres équipements utilisés pour la maintenance, le nettoyage, la réparation et activités occasionnelles similaires.
La présente norme ne vise pas à définir des prescriptions de performance au choc dans des circonstances exceptionnelles telles que les actes de vandalisme, la collision de véhicules, les projectiles d'armes à feu, etc..
La présente norme n'a absolument aucun rapport avec une quelconque réglementation nationale concernant les domaines de la construction ou de la santé et de la sécurité, dont les exigences s'appliquent séparément et en parallèle des présentes prescriptions de performance d'essai.

EN 14019:2004 (E) 3 Foreword This document (EN 14019:2004) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 33 “Doors, windows, shutters, building hardware and curtain walling”, the secretariat of which is held by AFNOR. This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by December 2004, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest December 2004. No existing European Standard is superseded. This European Standard is part of a series of European Standards dedicated to curtain walling products. This European Standard forms part of a series of curtain walling tests as defined in the product standard EN 13830.
