This document specifies requirements for hot dip galvanized reinforcing steel in the form of products which meet the requirements of EN 10080 and subjected, where appropriate, to further processing, e.g. bars, bent bars, stirrups, products straightened from coils, products cut from bars, welded structures and any other components fabricated for use in the reinforcement of concrete.
This document does not apply to hot dip galvanized reinforcement for prestressing or components of these reinforcements.

Dieses Dokument legt Anforderungen an feuerverzinkten Betonstahl in Form von Erzeugnissen nach EN 10080 die, falls zutreffend, zur Weiterverarbeitung bestimmt sind, wie z. B. Stäbe, gebogene Stäbe, Bügel, gerichtete Erzeugnisse aus Ringen, abgelängte Stäbe, Schweißkonstruktionen sowie andere Erzeugnisse, die für die Bewehrung von Beton eingesetzt sind, fest.
Dieses Dokument gilt nicht für feuerverzinkte Bewehrungen zum Vorspannen oder Bestandteile für diese Bewehrungen.

Le présent document spécifie les exigences relatives aux aciers galvanisés par immersion à chaud pour béton armé sous la forme de produits conformes aux exigences de l’EN 10080 et soumis, le cas échéant, à une transformation ultérieure par exemple barres, barres cintrées, étriers, produits redressés à partir de couronnes, produits découpés dans des barres, structures soudées et tous les autres composants fabriqués pour une utilisation dans l'armature du béton.
Le présent document ne s’applique pas aux armatures de précontrainte galvanisées par immersion à chaud ou aux composants de ces armatures.

Ta dokument določa zahteve za vroče pocinkano jeklo za armiranje izdelkov, ki izpolnjuje zahteve standarda EN 10080 in je namenjeno, kjer je primerno, nadaljnji obdelavi, npr. palice, upognjene palice, stremena, izdelki, izravnani iz navitij, izdelki, izrezani iz palic, varjene konstrukcije in vse druge komponente, ki so izdelane za uporabo pri armiranju betona.
Ta dokument se ne uporablja za vroče pocinkana jekla za armiranje za prednapetje ali komponente teh ojačitev.

This document (EN 10348:2024) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 459 “ECISS -
European Committee for Iron and Steel Standardization ”, the secretariat of which is held by AFNOR.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by September 2024, and conflicting national standards shall
be withdrawn at the latest by September 2024.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
patent rights. CEN shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
This document supersedes EN 10348-2:2018.

1 Scope
This document specifies requirements for hot dip galvanized reinforcing steel in the form of products
which meet the requirements of EN 10080 and subjected, where appropriate, to further processing, e.g.
bars, bent bars, stirrups, products straightened from coils, products cut from bars, welded structures and
any other components fabricated for use in the reinforcement of concrete.
