Winter maintenance equipment - Spreading and spraying machines - Part 1: General requirements and definitions

This document specifies the requirements on design and construction of bulk spreaders and sprayers, trailer spreaders and towed spreaders with speed related spreading for winter service. This document also deals with information about the minimum content required for operating manuals.
The document is valid for machines, which are used to spread the following spreading agents:
-   not pre-wetted and pre-wetted spreading agents;
-   abrasive spreading agents;
-   liquid spreading agents (brine).
This document is not applicable to:
-   requirements for registration and approval;
-   requirements made by automobile manufacturers;
-   requirements on safety, which are dealt with in FprEN 17106 1 and FprEN 17106 3 2.

Winterdienstausrüstung - Streumaschinen - Teil 1: Allgemeine Anforderungen und Angaben

Dieses Dokument legt die Anforderungen an Ausführung und Bauweise von aufgesetzten, aufgebauten und gezogenen Streumaschinen mit geschwindigkeitsabhängiger Streuung für den Winterdienst fest. Dieses Dokument enthält außerdem Informationen über die Mindestinhalte für Betriebshandbücher.
Das Dokument gilt für Maschinen, die zum Streuen folgender Stoffe eingesetzt werden:
- Streustoffe mit und ohne Anfeuchtung;
- abstumpfende Streustoffe;
- flüssige Streustoffe (Sole).
Dieses Dokument gilt nicht für:
- Anforderungen an Registrierung und Zulassung;
- Anforderungen seitens der Automobilhersteller;
- Sicherheitsanforderungen, welche in EN 17106 1  und EN 17106 3 2  behandelt werden.

Le présent document spécifie les prescriptions relatives à la conception et à la fabrication des épandeuses, des saumureuses, des remorques d'épandage et des épandeuses tractées, avec un épandage qui dépend de la vitesse, pour le service hivernal. Il fournit également des informations relatives au contenu minimal exigé dans les manuels d'utilisation.
Le présent document est valable pour des machines servant à épandre les agents d'épandage suivants :
   produits d'épandage avec et sans agent liquide ;
   produits d'épandage abrasifs ;
   produits d'épandage liquides (saumure).
Le présent document ne s'applique pas aux :
   exigences d'enregistrement et d'agrément ;
   prescritions imposées par les constructeurs automobiles ;
   prescriptions de sécurité ; celles-ci sont traitées dans le EN 17106 1 ) et EN 17106 3 2 ).
