Railway applications - External visible and audible warning devices - Part 2: Warning horns for heavy rail

This document defines warning horn requirements that deliver the required audibility of approaching heavy rail vehicles. The requirements of this document do not apply to urban rail systems.
NOTE 1   The requirements for exterior audible warning devices for urban rail vehicles are found in EN 15153 4.
In the case of shunting heavy rail vehicle formations, the requirements of this document do not apply to the pushed vehicle(s).
For this purpose, the following requirements are included:
-   functional and technical requirements of the warning horn as a component,
-   functional and technical requirements of the integration of warning horns into the vehicle, and
-   test requirements.
Operational requirements and maintenance requirements for warning horns are excluded.
NOTE 2   The requirements for the control of warning horns can be found in EN 16186 2.

Bahnanwendungen - Äußere optische und akustische Warneinrichtungen - Teil 2: Signalhörner für Vollbahnen

Dieses Dokument legt die Anforderungen an Signalhörner fest, mit denen die geforderte Hörbarkeit herannahender Vollbahnen erreicht wird. Die Anforderungen dieses Dokuments gelten nicht für städtische Schienenbahnen.
ANMERKUNG 1   Die Anforderungen für äußere akustische Warneinrichtungen für städtische Schienenbahnen enthält EN 15153 4.
Bei Anordnungen von Rangier Vollbahnfahrzeugen gelten die Anforderungen dieses Dokuments nicht für das (die) selbstbetriebene(n) Fahrzeug(e).
Zu diesem Zweck sind folgende Anforderungen enthalten:
   funktionelle und technische Anforderungen an das Signalhorn als Bauteil,
   funktionelle und technische Anforderungen an den Einbau von Signalhörnern in das Fahrzeug und
   Prüfanforderungen.
Die betrieblichen Anforderungen und die Instandhaltungsanforderungen an Signalhörner sind vom Anwendungsbereich ausgenommen.
ANMERKUNG 2   Die Anforderungen an die Steuerung von Signalhörnern können EN 16186 2 entnommen werden.

Le présent document spécifie les exigences applicables aux avertisseurs sonores qui assurent l’audibilité requise des véhicules ferroviaires lourds. Les exigences du présent document ne s’appliquent pas aux systèmes ferroviaires urbains.
NOTE 1 Les exigences relatives aux avertisseurs sonores extérieurs pour les véhicules ferroviaires urbains se trouvent dans la norme EN 15153-4.
Dans le cas de la manœuvre de formations de véhicules ferroviaires lourds, les exigences du présent document ne s'appliquent pas au(x) véhicule(s) tracté(s).
Dans ce but, les exigences suivantes sont incluses :
- exigences fonctionnelles et techniques de l’avertisseur sonore en tant que composant,
- exigences fonctionnelles et techniques d’intégration de l’avertisseur sonore dans le véhicule, et
- exigences d’essai.
Les exigences opérationnelles et de maintenance pour les avertisseurs sonores sont exclues.
NOTE 2 Les exigences pour le contrôle des avertisseurs sonores se trouvent dans l’EN 16186-2.

Železniške naprave - Zunanje vidne in zvočne opozorilne naprave - 2. del: Opozorilne sirene za železniška vozila za višje osne pritiske

Ta evropski standard opredeljuje zahteve za opozorilne zvočne signale, ki zagotavljajo zahtevano slišnost približevanja vlakov visoke hitrosti in konvencionalnih vlakov, pri čemer so izključeni cestni, podzemni železniški in samostojni sistemi. V ta namen so vključene naslednje zahteve:
– funkcionalne in tehnične zahteve zvočnega signala kot sestavnega dela,
– funkcionalne in tehnične zahteve integracije zvočnih signalov v vozilo, in
– zahteve preskusa.
Operativne zahteve za zvočne signale so izključene iz tega standarda.
OPOMBA: Zahteve za nadzor zvočnih signalov so navedene v standardu EN 16186-2.
