This Technical Specification specifies a laboratory method for obtaining water samples from treated wood which has been in conditions designated to simulate continuous contact with the ground or with water (Use Class 4 or 5), at time intervals after exposure.

Diese Technische Spezifikation legt ein Laborverfahren fest, für die Gewinnung von Wasserproben von behandeltem Holz, das in ständigem Kontakt mit Erde oder Wasser ist (Gebrauchsklasse 4 oder 5), mit Zeitabständen nach der Beanspruchung.

La présente spécification technique décrit une méthode de laboratoire permettant d’obtenir des échantillons d’eau à partir d’un bois traité ayant été dans les conditions désignées ci-dessous pour simuler un contact continu avec le sol ou avec l’eau (classe d’emploi 4 ou 5), à des intervalles de temps donnés après l’exposition.

This Technical Specification (CEN/TS) was approved by CEN on 20 November 2007 for provisional application.
The period of validity of this CEN/TS is limited initially to three years. After two years the members of CEN will be requested to submit their
comments, particularly on the question whether the CEN/TS can be converted into a European Standard.
CEN members are required to announce the existence of this CEN/TS in the same way as for an EN and to make the CEN/TS available
promptly at national level in an appropriate form. It is permissible to keep conflicting national standards in force (in parallel to the CEN/TS)
until the final decision about the possible conversion of the CEN/TS into an EN is reached.
