EN ISO 16119-4:2014

Agricultural and forestry machinery - Environmental requirements for sprayers - Part 4: Fixed and semi-mobile sprayers (ISO 16119-4:2014)

ISO 16119-4:2014 specifies requirements and the means for their verification for the design and performance of fixed and semi-mobile sprayers, as defined in 3.1 and 3.2, with regard to minimizing the potential risk of environmental contamination during use, including misuse foreseeable by the manufacturer.
This type of spraying system is generally a combination of separate elements (main tank, pump and application unit) that can be assembled in fixed installations (fixed sprayers) or with moving parts (semi-mobile sprayers).
ISO 16119-4:2014 does not apply to application equipment for space/spatial treatments.
ISO 16119-4:2014 is intended to be used with ISO 16119‑1, which gives general requirements common to all the sprayer types covered by ISO 16119. When requirements of ISO 16119-4:2014 are different from those stated in ISO 16119‑1, the requirements of ISO 16119-4:2014 take precedence over the requirements of ISO 16119‑1 for machines within the scope of ISO 16119-4:2014. ISO 16119-4:2014 does not cover safety aspects (see ISO 4254‑6).
ISO 16119-4:2014 is not applicable to sprayers manufactured before the date of its publication.

L'ISO 16119-4:2014 spécifie les exigences et les méthodes de vérification correspondantes pour la conception et les performances des pulvérisateurs fixes et semi-mobiles, tels que définis en 3.1 et 3.2, avec pour objectif de réduire les risques de contamination de l'environnement durant leur utilisation, y compris lors d'une mauvaise utilisation raisonnablement prévisible par le fabricant.
Ce type de système de pulvérisation est généralement composé d'une combinaison d'éléments séparés (cuve principale, pompe et unité d'application) dont l'assemblage permet de constituer des installations fixes (pulvérisateurs fixes) ou comprenant des éléments mobiles (pulvérisateurs semi-mobiles).
Elle ne concerne pas les équipements d'application pour les traitements des espaces.
Elle est prévue pour être utilisée conjointement avec l'ISO 16119‑1, qui donne les exigences générales applicables à tous les types de pulvérisateurs couverts par l'ISO 16119. Lorsque les exigences de l'ISO 16119-4:2014 diffèrent de celles énoncées dans l'ISO 16119‑1, les exigences de l'ISO 16119-4:2014 prennent le pas sur celles de l'ISO 16119‑1 pour les machines faisant partie du domaine d'application de l'ISO 16119-4:2014. L'ISO 16119-4:2014 ne couvre pas les aspects de sécurité (voir l'ISO 4254‑6).
L'ISO 16119-4:2014 n'est pas applicable aux pulvérisateurs qui sont fabriqués avant sa date de publication.

This document (EN ISO 16119-4:2014) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 23 "Tractors and
machinery for agriculture and forestry" in collaboration Technical Committee CEN/TC 144 “Tractors and
machinery for agriculture and forestry” the secretariat of which is held by AFNOR.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical
text or by endorsement, at the latest by June 2015, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at
the latest by June 2015.
