Ceramic tiles - Definitions, classification, characteristics, evaluation of conformity and marking
This European Standard defines terms and specifies characteristics for ceramic tiles produced by extrusion and dry-pressing techniques, used for internal and/or external floorings (including stairs) and walls. Furthermore, it provides the level of requirements for these characteristics and references to the test methods applied (see Note) as well as provisions for evaluation of conformity and marking.
NOTE The series of standards EN ISO 10545 describe the test procedures required to determine most of the product characteristics listed in this European Standard. The series is divided into 16 parts, each describing a specific test procedure or related matter.
This European Standard does not cover:
- ceramic tiles made by processes other than extrusion or dry-pressing;
- dry-pressed unglazed ceramic tiles with water absorption greater than 10 %;
- ceramic tiles used for floorings on external road finishes;
- ceramic tiles used in ceiling finishes or suspended ceilings.
Keramische Fliesen und Platten - Definitionen, Klassifizierung, Eigenschaften, Konformitätsbewertung und Kennzeichnung
Diese Europäische Norm legt Begriffe und Eigenschaften für durch Strangpress- und Trockenpresstechniken hergestellte keramische Fliesen und Platten zur Anwendung in Innen- und/oder Außenbereichen für Boden- (einschließlich Treppen) und Wandbeläge fest. Darüber hinaus legt sie den Grad der Anforderungen an diese Eigenschaften sowie Verweisungen auf die angewendeten Prüfverfahren (siehe Anmerkung) fest und enthält Festlegungen zur Bewertung der Konformität und zur Kennzeichnung.
ANMERKUNG Die Normenreihe EN ISO 10545 beschreibt die Prüfverfahren, die zur Bestimmung der meisten in dieser Europäischen Norm aufgeführten Produkteigenschaften erforderlich sind. Die Normenreihe besteht aus 16 Teilen, von denen jeder Teil ein bestimmtes Prüfverfahren oder ein damit zusammenhängendes Phänomen beschreibt.
Diese Europäische Norm gilt nicht für:
- keramische Fliesen und Platten, die durch andere Techniken als Strangpressen oder Trockenpressen hergestellt wurden;
- trockengepresste unglasierte keramische Fliesen und Platten mit einer Wasseraufnahme von mehr als 10 %;
- keramische Fliesen und Platten für Fahrbahnbeläge im Außenbereich;
- keramische Fliesen und Platten für Deckenbekleidungen oder abgehängte Decken.

La présente Norme européenne définit et spécifie les termes et les caractéristiques des carreaux céramiques produits à l’aide de techniques d’étirage et de pressage à sec destinés aux revêtements de sols et aux murs intérieurs et/ou extérieurs (y compris les escaliers). En outre, elle fournit le niveau des exigences applicables à ces caractéristiques et fait référence aux méthodes d'essai appliquées (voir NOTE) ainsi qu'aux dispositions relatives à l'évaluation de conformité et au marquage.
NOTE La série de normes EN ISO 10545 décrit les modes opératoires d'essai permettant de déterminer la plupart des caractéristiques des produits figurant dans la présente Norme européenne. La série de normes EN ISO 10545 est divisée en 16 parties, chacune décrivant un mode opératoire d'essai particulier ou un point en rapport avec un mode opératoire.
La présente Norme européenne ne couvre pas :
- les carreaux céramiques réalisés au moyen de procédés différents de l'étirage ou du pressage à sec ;
- les carreaux céramiques non émaillés pressés à sec dont l’absorption d’eau est supérieure à 10 % ;
- les carreaux céramiques destinés aux revêtements de sols utilisés pour les finitions extérieures de routes ;
- les carreaux céramiques utilisés pour les finitions des plafonds ou les plafonds suspendus.
Keramične ploščice - Definicije, razvrstitev, lastnosti, vrednotenje skladnosti in označevanje
Ta evropski standard določa izraze in opredeljuje lastnosti za keramične ploščice, proizvedene s tehnikami ekstrudiranja in suhega stiskanja, ki se uporabljajo za notranje in/ali zunanje talne obloge (vključno s stopnicami) in stene. Poleg tega določa raven zahtev za navedene lastnosti in sklicevanja na uporabljene preskusne metode (glej opombo) ter določbe za vrednotenje skladnosti in označevanje. Ta evropski standard ne zajema: – keramičnih ploščic, izdelanih s postopki, ki niso ekstrudiranje ali suho stiskanje, – suho stiskanih neloščenih keramičnih ploščic, pri čemer njihovo vpijanje vode presega 10 %, – keramičnih ploščic, ki se uporabljajo za talne obloge na zunanjih zaključnih tlakih, – keramičnih ploščic, ki se uporabljajo za zaključne stropne obloge ali spuščene strope.

skladnosti in označevanje, 2013, ima status slovenskega standarda in je istoveten evropskemu
standardu EN 14411 (en), Ceramic tiles – Definitions, classification, characteristics, evaluation of
conformity and marking, 2012.
NACIONALNI PREDGOVOR
Besedilo standarda EN 14411:2012 je pripravil tehnični odbor CEN/TC 67 Keramične ploščice,
katerega sekretariat vodi UNI. Slovenski standard SIST EN 14411:2013 je prevod angleškega
besedila evropskega standarda EN 14411:2012. V primeru spora glede besedila slovenskega prevoda
v tem standardu je odločilen izvirni evropski standard v angleškem jeziku.
Odločitev za izdajo tega dokumenta je 12. decembra 2012 sprejel Strokovni svet SIST za splošno
področje.
