Machines and plants for the manufacture, treatment and processing of flat glass - Safety requirements - Part 9: Washing installations
This European Standard contains the safety requirements for the design and installation of stationary glass washing installations as shown as typical in Annex A.
Glass washing installations are designed to perform the following functions: feeding of flat glass to the cleaning and drying unit and transport (delivery) to the estimation equipment and to the take-off position of the flat glass sheet. None of the processing phases requires direct manual intervention.
1.2 !This European Standard deals with the significant hazards, hazardous situations and events with the exception of those by interfaces with other machines used in a process line relevant to glass washing installa-tions, when they are used as intended and under the conditions of misuse which are reasonably foreseeable by the manufacturer (see Clause 4)." This European Standard specifies the appropriate technical measures to eliminate or reduce risks which can arise from these significant hazards during commissioning, the operation and maintenance. ! Safety requirements and/or protective measures are given in Clause 5. When references are made to B level standards such as EN 953, EN 1037, EN 1088, EN 60204-1, EN ISO 13850 and EN ISO 13857, the manufacturer should carry out an adequate risk assessment for the requirements thereof where choice is necessary."
1.3 This European Standard is not applicable to machines for loading and unloading of glass (see EN 13035-5) and to conveyors (see EN 619) and fans. If there are specific risks that arise by their use as an integral part of flat glass washing installations, appropriate measures are specified.
1.4 This European Standard is not applicable to glass washing installations for automotive and bent glass.
1.5 This European Standard is not applicable to water preparation and disposal of waste washing liquid.
1.6 This European Standard is not applicable to machinery manufactured before the date of publication of this European Standard by CEN.

1.1 Diese Europäische Norm enthält die Sicherheitsanforderungen für die Konstruktion und Installation von
stationären Glaswaschmaschinen, von denen typische Konstruktionen in Anhang A aufgezeigt sind.
Glaswaschmaschinen sind konstruiert, um die folgenden Funktionen auszuführen: Zuführen von Flachglas zur
Reinigungs- und Trockeneinheit und Transport hin zur Estimierung (Beurteilungsstation) und Abnahmestelle
der Flachglasscheibe. Keiner der Arbeitsvorgänge erfordert direkten manuellen Eingriff.
1.2 !Diese Europäische Norm behandelt die signifikanten Gefährdungen, Gefährdungssituationen und
Gefährdungsereignisse, die auf Glaswaschmaschinen zutreffen, mit Ausnahme von jenen, die durch die
Verknüpfung mit anderen Maschinen entstehen, die in einer Fertigungslinie zusammen mit zugehörigen
Glaswaschmaschinen eingesetzt werden, wenn sie bestimmungsgemäß und unter den Bedingungen des
Missbrauchs, die vernünftigerweise vom Hersteller vorhersehbar sind, verwendet werden (siehe
Abschnitt 4)". Diese Europäische Norm spezifiziert die entsprechenden technischen Maßnahmen zur
Beseitigung oder Verminderung der Risiken, die von den signifikanten Gefährdungen während der
Inbetriebnahme, Bedienung und Wartung ausgehen können. !Sicherheitsanforderungen und/oder Schutzmaßnahmen
sind in Abschnitt 5 angegeben. Bei Verweisungen auf eine Typ B-Norm wie EN 953, EN 1037,
EN 1088, EN 60204-1, EN ISO 13850 und EN ISO 13857 sollte der Hersteller eine angemessene Risikobeurteilung
für die darin enthaltenen Anforderungen durchführen, bei denen eine Auswahl notwendig ist."
1.3 Diese Europäische Norm gilt nicht für Maschinen zum Be- und Entladen von Glas (siehe EN 13035-5)
und für Stetigförderer (siehe EN 619) und Ventilatoren. Wenn spezifische Risiken durch ihre Verwendung als
ein integraler Teil von Flachglaswaschmaschinen entstehen, werden geeignete Maßnahmen spezifiziert.

1.1 La présente Norme européenne contient les prescriptions de sécurité relatives à la conception et à l'installation de machines à laver le verre stationnaires telles que celles illustrées par les exemples de l'Annexe A.
Les machines à laver le verre sont conçues pour assurer les fonctions suivantes: transfert du verre plat vers l'unité de nettoyage et de séchage, puis transport (livraison) de la plaque de verre vers l'équipement de vérification et l'emplacement de l'enlèvement. Aucune des phases du procédé ne nécessite une intervention manuelle directe.

Ta evropski standard vsebuje zahteve za načrtovanje in namestitev stacionarnih naprav za pranje stekla, kar je prikazano kot značilno v Dodatku A. Naprave za pranje stekla so zasnovane za opravljanje naslednjih funkcij: dovajanje ravnega stekla do enote za čiščenje in sušenje in prevoz (dostava) do opreme za ocenjevanje in do odjemne pozicije ravnega stekla po ploščah. Nobena od faz postopka ne zahteva neposrednega ročnega posega. Ta evropski standard obravnava velike nevarnosti, nevarne situacije in primere, z izjemo tistih, ki so povezani z drugimi stroji, ki se uporabljajo v procesni liniji naprav za pranje stekla, kadar se uporabljajo v skladu z namembnostjo in pod pogoji napačne uporabe, ki jih proizvajalec lahko razumno predvidi (glej Klavzulo 4).
