This document specifies a method of test for evaluating the appearance of apparel and other textile end products after one or several domestic washing and drying treatments. The appearance evaluated includes colour change, pilling, fuzzing, matting appearance of fabrics, smoothness appearance of flat fabric and seams, and the retention of pressed-in creases in garments and other textile products, damage of components ? buttons, press fasteners, slide fasteners, etc.
This document is applicable to any washable textile end product of any fabric construction. Techniques for seaming and creasing are not included since the purpose is to evaluate textile end products as they are supplied from the manufacturer or as ready-to-use. Techniques for seaming and creasing are controlled by fabric properties.
This method has been developed primarily for use with domestic washing machines of Type B as defined in ISO 6330, but it can be used with any type of machine defined in ISO 6330.
It is recognized that prints and patterns can mask the wrinkled appearance present in textile end products. The rating process is, however, based on the visual appearance of specimens including such effects.

Le présent document spécifie une méthode d'essai permettant d'évaluer l'aspect des articles d'habillement et autres produits textiles finis après un ou plusieurs lavages et séchages domestiques. L'aspect évalué comprend la dégradation des coloris, l'aspect des étoffes au boulochage, à l'ébouriffage et au moutonnement, l'aspect lisse des étoffes planes et des coutures, la conservation des plis permanents des vêtements et autres produits textiles finis, et l'endommagement des articles de mercerie tels que les boutons, les boutons-pression, les fermetures à glissière, etc.
Le présent document est applicable à n'importe quel produit textile fini lavable, quelle que soit la constitution de l'étoffe. Les techniques de couture et de plissage ne sont pas traitées étant donné que l'objet de la présente Norme internationale est l'évaluation des produits textiles finis tels qu'ils sont fournis par le fabricant, ou prêts à l'emploi. Les techniques de couture et de plissage sont maîtrisées en fonction des propriétés des étoffes.
La présente méthode a été élaborée pour être mise en œuvre principalement avec les machines à laver domestiques du type B telles que définies dans l'ISO 6330, mais elle peut être mise en œuvre avec tout type de machine à laver défini dans l'ISO 6330.
Il est reconnu que les impressions et les motifs peuvent masquer l'aspect froissé des produits textiles finis. Néanmoins, la méthode de cotation repose sur l'aspect, évalué à l'œil nu, d'éprouvettes présentant ces effets.

Ta dokument določa metodo za ocenjevanje videza oblačil ter drugih tekstilnih končnih izdelkov po enem ali več gospodinjskih pranjih in sušenjih. Pri videzu se ocenjuje sprememba barve, kosmatenje, razvlaknjanje, matiranje videza vlaknine, videz gladkosti ploskih tkanin in šivov ter ohranitev vtisnjenih gub na oblačilih in drugih tekstilnih izdelkih, poškodbe sestavnih delov (gumbov, sponk, kaveljčkov ipd).
Ta dokument se uporablja za vse pralne tekstilne končne izdelke iz kakršne koli sestave tkanin. Tehnike šivanja in gubanja niso vključene, saj je namen oceniti tekstilne končne izdelke, kot so dobavljeni od proizvajalca ali pripravljeni za uporabo. Tehnike šivanja in gubanja določajo lastnosti tkanine.
Ta metoda je bila razvita predvsem za uporabo z gospodinjskimi pralnimi stroji tipa B, kot je določeno v standardu ISO 6330, uporabiti pa jo je mogoče za katero koli vrsto stroja, določeno v standardu ISO 6330.
Ugotovljeno je, da lahko natisi in vzorci zakrijejo naguban videz tekstilnih končnih izdelkov, vendar pa postopek ocenjevanja temelji na videzu primerkov, vključno s takimi učinki.

This document was prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 38, Textiles, Subcommittee SC 2, Cleansing,
finishing and water resistance tests.
This third edition cancels and replaces the second edition (ISO 15487:2009), which has been technically
revised. The main changes compared to the previous edition are as follows:
— in Clause 1, the appearance assessment has been extended to colour change, pilling, fuzzing, matting
appearance of fabrics, damage of components (buttons, press fasteners, slide fasteners, etc.) and
physical garment changes (e.g. spirality);
— in Clause 3, the term “durable press” has been deleted and the succeeding terms have been
renumbered;
— in Clause 6, the distinction of preparation of different test specimens (fabrics, garments, etc.) have
been specified;
— in 7.4, the use of manikin for the garment assessment has been introduced, and a (non-exhaustive)
list of appearance changes (Table 1) for the qualitative method of the assessment has been added;
— procedures described in 7.5, 7.6, 7.7, 7.8, 7.9 and 7.10 have been modified and clarified;
— a new informative Annex B showing an example of appearance rating has been added;
— new references have been added in the Bibliography.

Vorwort
ISO (die Internationale Organisation für Normung) ist eine weltweite Vereinigung von Nationalen
Normungsorganisationen (ISO-Mitgliedsorganisationen). Die Erstellung von Internationalen Normen wird
normalerweise von ISO Technischen Komitees durchgeführt. Jede
Mitgliedsorganisation, die Interesse an einem Thema hat, für welches ein Technisches Komitee gegründet
wurde, hat das Recht, in diesem Komitee vertreten zu sein. Internationale Organisationen, staatlich und
nicht-staatlich, in Liaison mit ISO, nehmen ebenfalls an der Arbeit teil. ISO arbeitet eng mit der
Internationalen Elektrotechnischen Kommission (IEC) bei allen elektrotechnischen Themen zusammen.
Internationale Normen werden in Übereinstimmung mit den Gestaltungsregeln der ISO/IEC-Direktiven, Teil

1 Anwendungsbereich
Diese Internationale Norm legt ein Prüfverfahren fest für die Bewertung des Aussehens von
Kleidungsstücken und anderen textilen Erzeugnissen (wie z. B. Farbänderung, Pillbildung, Flusenbildung,
verfilztes Aussehen von textilen Flächengebilden, Aussehen der Glätte von flachen textilen Flächengebilden
und Nähten und die Beibehaltung eingepresster Falten in Kleidungsstücken und anderen textilen
Erzeugnissen, Beschädigung von Komponenten — Knöpfen, Druckknöpfen, Reißverschlüssen usw.) nach
einer oder mehreren Haushaltswäschen und Trocknungsbehandlungen. Diese Internationale Norm gilt für
jedes waschbare textile Fertigerzeugnis jedes Aufbaus eines textilen Flächengebildes. Verfahren für die
Herstellung von Säumen und Falten gelten nicht für diese Anwendung, da textile Fertigerzeugnisse im
Anlieferzustand oder gebrauchsfertig bewertet werden sollen. Verfahren für die Herstellung von Säumen
und Falten ergeben sich aus den Eigenschaften des textilen Flächengebildes.
Dieses Verfahren wurde ursprünglich für die Verwendung von Haushaltswaschmaschinen vom Typ B, wie in
ISO 6330 definiert, entwickelt, aber es ist auch möglich, es bei jeglichen Maschinentypen, die in derselben
Internationalen Norm definiert sind, zu verwenden.
Es wird anerkannt, dass Drucke und Muster das in textilen Fertigerzeugnissen vorhandene knittrige
Aussehen verdecken können. Das Bewertungsverfahren wird jedoch aufgrund des visuellen Eindruckes der
Messproben einschließlich dieser Effekte vorgenommen.

Anwendung dieses Dokuments erforderlich. Bei datierten Verweisungen gilt nur die in Bezug genommene
