Non destructive testing - Terminology - Part 1: List of general terms
This part of this European Standard is concerned with the general terms used in non destructive testing, but which stem from other fields (electricity, vacuum technology, metrology...).
For the sake of consistency, the definition of these terms, which already exist in the documents mentionned in Clause 2 and which are internationally recognized, also apply in non destructive testing.

Dieser Teil der Europäischen Norm betrifft allge¬meine Begriffe in der zerstörungsfreien Prüfung, die aus anderen Bereichen stammen (Elektrizität, Vakuumtechnologie, Metrologie ...).
Zum Zwecke der Übereinstimmung werden die Definitionen dieser Begriffe, die schon in den Dokumenten nach Abschnitt 2 gegeben und welt¬weit anerkannt werden, auch bei der zerstörungs¬freien Prüfung angewendet.

La présente partie de cette Norme européenne concerne des termes généraux utilisés en essais non destructifs, mais provenant d'autres secteurs (électricité, vide, métrologie...).
Par souci de cohérence, il a été admis que les définitions de ces termes, existant antérieurement dans les documents mentionnés à l'Article 2 et reconnues internationalement s'appliquent également pour les essais non destructifs.
Neporušitvene preiskave - Terminologija - 1. del: Splošni pojmi
Ta del tega evropskega standarda zadeva splošne pojme, ki se uporabljajo pri neporušitvenih preiskavah, vendar izvirajo z drugih področij (električna energija, vakuumska tehnologija, meroslovje ...).
Za zagotovitev skladnosti se opredelitve teh pojmov, ki so že navedene v dokumentih iz točke 2 in so priznane na mednarodni ravni, uporabljajo tudi pri neporušitvenih preiskavah.

Zerstörungsfreie Prüfung - Terminologie - Teil 1: Allgemeine Begriffe This European Standard was approved by CEN on 28 September 2014.
CEN members are bound to comply with the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations which stipulate the conditions for giving this European Standard the status of a national standard without any alteration. Up-to-date lists and bibliographical references concerning such national standards may be obtained on application to the CEN-CENELEC Management Centre or to any CEN member.
This European Standard exists in three official versions (English, French, German). A version in any other language made by translation under the responsibility of a CEN member into its own language and notified to the CEN-CENELEC Management Centre has the same status as the official versions.
CEN members are the national standards bodies of Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey and United Kingdom.

Non destructive testing - Terminology - Part 1: List of general terms La présente Norme européenne a été adoptée par le CEN le 28 septembre 2014.
Les membres du CEN sont tenus de se soumettre au Règlement Intérieur du CEN/CENELEC, qui définit les conditions dans lesquelles doit être attribué, sans modification, le statut de norme nationale à la Norme européenne. Les listes mises à jour et les références bibliographiques relatives à ces normes nationales peuvent être obtenues auprès du Centre de Gestion du CEN-CENELEC ou auprès des membres du CEN.
La présente Norme européenne existe en trois versions officielles (allemand, anglais, français). Une version dans une autre langue faite par traduction sous la responsabilité d'un membre du CEN dans sa langue nationale et notifiée au Centre de Gestion du CEN-CENELEC, a le même statut que les versions officielles.
