Automatic electrical controls - Part 1: General requirements
IEC 60730-1:2013 applies to automatic electrical controls for use in, on, or in association with equipment for household and similar use. The equipment may use electricity, gas, oil, solid fuel, solar thermal energy, etc., or a combination thereof. This standard is applicable to controls for building automation within the scope of ISO 16484. This standard also applies to automatic electrical controls for equipment that may be used by the public, such as equipment intended to be used in shops, offices, hospitals, farms and commercial and industrial applications. This standard is also applicable to individual controls utilized as part of a control system or controls which are mechanically integral with multifunctional controls having non electrical outputs. This standard is also applicable to relays when used as controls for IEC 60335 appliances. Additional requirements for the safety and operating values of relays when used as controls for IEC 60335 appliances are contained in Annex U. This standard does not apply to automatic electrical controls intended exclusively for industrial process applications unless explicitly mentioned in the relevant part 2 or the equipment standard. This fifth edition cancels and replaces the fourth edition published in 2010. It constitutes a technical revision. The major changes with respect to the previous edition are as follows: - modification of the title and scope; - revisions to Clause H.26 based on changes in technology, applications, and to improve consistency and layout; - modification to Table H.12 to align with CISPR 22; - revisions to Annex J to correlate the fault modes of thermistors and to exempt thermistors used in conjunction with type 1 controls in SELV low power circuits from the tests specified in Annex J; - new requirements covering battery-powered controls, and the use of batteries in controls; - revision addressing the exclusion of relay faults; - new/updated requirements in Clause 24, for switch mode power supplies; - revisions covering the allowance of screwless-type clamping units complying with IEC 60999-1; - new requirements addressing remotely actuated control functions; - addition of a new/updated leakage current diagram to align the Annex E diagram with the diagram in IEC 60990 and updated requirements for temperature sensing controls. La IEC 60730-1:2013 s'applique aux dispositifs de commande électrique automatiques destinés à être utilisés dans, sur, ou avec des équipements à usage domestique et analogue. Les matériels peuvent utiliser l'électricité, le gaz, le pétrole, des combustibles solides, l'énergie thermique solaire, etc., ou une combinaison de ces sources d'énergie. La présente norme s'applique aux dispositifs de commande pour l'automatisation du bâtiment relevant du domaine d'application de l'ISO 16484. La présente norme s'applique également aux dispositifs de commande électriques automatiques des équipements qui peuvent être utilisés par le public (les équipements destinés à être utilisés dans des magasins, des bureaux, des hôpitaux, des fermes et des applications commerciales et industrielles, par exemple). La présente norme est également applicable aux dispositifs de commande individuels utilisés comme partie d'un système de commande ou de dispositifs de commande solidaires mécaniquement de dispositifs de commande multifonctions ayant des sorties non électriques. La présente norme s'applique également aux relais utilisés en tant que dispositifs de commande des appareils conformes à la CEI 60335. L'Annexe U contient des exigences supplémentaires relatives à la sécurité et aux valeurs de fonctionnement des relais utilisés en tant que dispositifs de commande des appareils conformes à la CEI 60335. La présente norme ne s'applique pas aux dispositifs de commande électrique automatiques prévus exclusivement pour des applications industrielles, sauf mention particulière dans la partie 2 ou la norme de l'équipement. Cette cinquième édition annule et remplace la quatrième édition parue en 2010. Elle constitue une révision technique. Les principales modifications apportées par rapport à l'édition précédente sont les suivantes: - modification du titre et du domaine d'application; - révisions de l'Article H.26 sur la base des évolutions en termes de technologie et d'applications, et afin d'améliorer la cohérence et la présentation; - modification du Tableau H.12 pour alignement avec la CISPR 22; - révisions de l'Annexe J pour corrélation avec les modes de panne des thermistances, et exemption des thermistances utilisées conjointement avec les dispositifs de commande de type 1 en circuits TBTS de faible puissance à partir des essais spécifiés à l'Annexe J; - nouvelles exigences concernant les dispositifs de commande alimentés par pile, et utilisation de piles dans les dispositifs de commande; - révision concernant l'exclusion des pannes de relais; - exigences nouvelles/mises à jour à l'Article 24, pour les alimentations en mode de commutation; - révisions concernant les tolérances pour les organes de serrage sans vis conformes à la CEI 60999-1; - nouvelles exigences concernant les fonctions de commande à distance; - addition d'un diagramme de courant de fuite nouveau/mis à jour pour alignement du diagramme de l'Annexe E avec le diagramme de la CEI 60990 et exigences mises à jour pour les dispositifs de commande sensibles à la température. Ta del standarda IEC 60730 se na splošno uporablja za avtomatske električne krmilne naprave, ki se uporabljajo v opremi za gospodinjstvo in podobno uporabo, na njej ali v povezavi z njo. Za opremo se lahko samostojno ali v kombinaciji uporabljajo elektrika, plin, nafta, trdno gorivo, sončna toplotna energija itd.

PRIMER 1: Krmiljenje naprav v okviru standarda IEC 60335.
Ta mednarodni standard se uporablja za krmiljenje sistemov za avtomatizacijo stavb v okviru standarda ISO 16484.
Ta standard se uporablja tudi za avtomatske električne krmilne naprave za opremo za javno uporabo, kot je oprema, namenjena za uporabo v trgovinah, pisarnah, bolnišnicah, na kmetijah ter za komercialno in industrijsko uporabo.

Ta standard se uporablja tudi za releje, kadar se uporabljajo za krmiljenje naprav iz standarda IEC 60335. Dodatne zahteve za varnost in delovne vrednosti relejev, kadar se uporabljajo za krmiljenje naprav iz standarda IEC 60335, so podane v dodatku U.
OPOMBA 2: Te zahteve so navedene v standardu IEC 61810-1.
OPOMBA 3: Ta standard je namenjen za uporabo pri preizkušanju katerega koli samostojnega releja, ki se uporablja za krmiljenje naprave v skladu s standardom IEC 60335-1. Ni namenjen uporabi za kateri koli drug samostojni rele ali kot zamenjava skupine standardov IEC 61810.

This European Standard supersedes EN 60730-1:2011. However, EN 60730-1:2011 remains valid until all the
Part 2’s which are used in conjunction with it have been withdrawn. No date of withdrawal (dow) has been given
pending the updating of all the Part 2's to align with this EN 60730-1:2016. The applicable date of withdrawal is given
in each Part 2. It is intended the dow for this Part 1 will be fixed once all the Part 2's have been updated.
This document supersedes EN 60730-1:2011.
EN 60730-1:2016 includes the following significant technical changes with respect to EN 60730-1:2011:
– changes of the title of the Standard into “Automatic electrical controls – Part 1: General
requirements”;
– revisions to Clause H.26 based on changes in technology, applications, and to improve consistency
