Connectors for electronic equipment - Part 7-5: Detail specification for 8-way, shielded, free and fixed connectors, for data transmissions with frequencies up to 250 MHz

Specifies mechanical and environmental requirements, and electrical transmission requirements for frequencies up to 250 MHz. These connectors are typically used as category 6 connectors in class E cabling systems specified in ISO/IEC 11801:2002. These connectors are intermateable, interoperable, and backward compatible with other IEC 60603-7 series connectors.

Spécifie les exigences mécaniques et environnementales ainsi que les exigences de transmission électrique pour des fréquences jusqu'à 250 MHz. Ces connecteurs sont normalement utilisés comme connecteurs de catégorie 6 dans les systèmes de câblage de la classe E spécifiés dans l'IS0/CEI IS 11801:2002. Ils sont accouplables, interopérables et offrent une compatibilité amont avec les autres connecteurs de la série CEI 60603-7.

Ta del IEC 60603-7 zajema IEC 60603-7-5 konektorje in določa mehanske in okoljske zahteve ter zahteve glede eletričnega prenosa za frekvence do 50 MHz. Ti konektorji se običajno uporabljajo kot konektorji kategorije 6 v razredu E kabelskih sistemov, opredeljenih v ISO/IEC 11801:2002. Ti konektorji so medsebojno povezljivi, interoperabilni in povratno skladni z drugimi konektorji serije IEC 60603-7. The text of document 48B/1741/FDIS, future edition 1 of IEC 60603-7-5, prepared by SC 48B,
Connectors, of IEC TC 48, Electromechanical components and mechanical structures for electronic
equipment, was submitted to the IEC-CENELEC parallel vote and was approved by CENELEC as
EN 60603-7-5 on 2009-09-01.
The following dates were fixed:
– latest date by which the EN has to be implemented
at national level by publication of an identical
national standard or by endorsement (dop) 2010-06-01
– latest date by which the national standards conflicting
with the EN have to be withdrawn (dow) 2012-09-01
Annex ZA has been added by CENELEC.
