This SS prescribes the characteristics and inspection requirements for adjusters of assessed quality for use with magnetic oxide (ferrite) cores intended for inductors and transformers in tuned circuits for professional and industrial applications. It prescribes the appropriate test methods from the GS CECC 25 00 for use in detail specifications (DS) derived from this SS, and contains the test schedules to be used in the preparation of such DS. The blank detail specification (BDS) CECC 25 401 prescribes the information to be given in the test schedule in DS derived from this SS. Adjusters complying with this specification are intended for use with cores made by the same manufacturer and may be used with cores complying with CECC 25 100. Their use enables the inductance of an indicator or transformer to be adjusted for tuning.
