BRIEF HISTORY
The IS0 Recommendation R 1580, Slotted pan head screws - Metric series, was drawn up by Technical
Committee ISO/TC 2, Bolts, nuts and accessories, the Secretariat of which is held by the Deutscher Normen-
ausschuss (DNA).
Work on this question led to the adoption of Draft IS0 Recommendation No. 1580,which was circulated
to ail the IS0 Member Bodies for enquiry in July 1968. It was approved, subject to a few modifications of an
editorial nature, by the following Member Bodies :

HISTORIQUE
La Recommandation ISO/R 1580, Vis à tête fendue cylindrique à dépouille - Série métrique, a été élaborée
par le Comité Technique ISO/TC 2, Boulons, écrous et accessoires, dont le Secrétariat est assuré par le Deutscher
Normenausschuss (DNA).
Les travaux relatifs à cette question aboutirent à l’adoption du Projet de Recommandation IS0 No 1580 qui

fut soumis,en juillet 1968,à l’enquête de tous les Comités Membres de I’ISO. I1 fut approuvé, sous réserve de quelques
modifications d’ordre rédactionnel, par les Comités Membres suivants :
