This second edition cancels and replaces the first edition (1981). Specifies the working widths for equipment as a guideline for the manufacturers and users of these machines. Establishes a comllementary between the machines for sowing and planting (first operation) and the machines for subsequent operation. Tabulates the recommended working widths.

La présente Norme internationale prescrit les largeurs de travail pour les matériels de semis, de plantation, les distributeurs d'engrais et les pulvérisateurs, afin de guider les constructeurs et les utilisateurs de ces machines. Elle établit une corrélation complémentaire entre les matériels de semis ou de plantation (première opération) et les machines utilisées pour les opérations ultérieures. Les largeurs de travail indiquées sont basées sur les largeurs de voie spécifiées dans l'ISO 4004.

Foreword
IS0 (the International Organization for Standardization) is a worldwide federation of
national standards bodies (IS0 member bodies). The work of preparing International
Standards is normally carried out through IS0 technical committees. Each member
body interested in a subject for which a technical committee has been established has
the right to be represented on that committee. International organizations, govern-
mental and non-governmental, in liaison with ISO, also take part in the work. IS0
collaborates closely with the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) on all
matters of electrotechnical standardization.
Draft International Standards adopted by the technical committees are circulated to
the member bodies for approval before their acceptance as International Standards by
the IS0 Council. They are approved in accordance with IS0 procedures requiring at
least 75 % approval by the member bodies voting.
International Standard IS0 6720 was prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 23,
Tractors and machinery for agriculture and forestry.
This second edition cancels and replaces the first edition (IS0 6720 : 1 9811, table 1 of
which has been technically revised, to be in harmony wi th IS0 4004.

L’ISO (Organisation internationale de normalisation) est une fédération mondiale
