BRIEF HISTORY
The IS0 Recommendation R 565, Woven Wire Cloth and Perforated Plates in Test Sieves -
Nominal Sizes of Apertures, was drawn up by Technical Committee ISO/TC 24, Sieves, Sieving
and other Sizing Methods, the Secretariat of which is held by the Deutscher Normenausschuss
(DNA).
Work on this question by the Technical Committee began in 1956 and led, in 1964, to the
adoption of a Draft IS0 Recommendation.
In April 1965, this Draft IS0 Recommendation (No.805) was circulated to all the IS0
Member Bodies for enquiry. It was approved, subject to a few modifications of an editorial nature,
by the following Member Bodies :

One Member Body opposed the approval of the Draft:

Council, which decided, in April 1967, to accept it as an IS0 RECOMMENDATION.

HISTORIQUE
La Recommandation ISO/R 565, Toiles métalliques et tôles perforkes dans les tamis de
contrôle - Dimensions nominales des ouvertures, a été élaborée par le Comité Technique ISO/TC 24,
Tamis, tamisages et autres méthodesgranulométriques, dont le Secrétariat est assuré par le Deutscher
Normenausschuss (DNA).
Les travaux relatifs à cette question furent entrepris par le Comité Technique en 1956 et
aboutirent en 1964 à l'adoption d'un Projet de Recommandation ISO.
En avril 1965, ce Projet de Recommandation IS0 (NO 805) fut soumis à l'enquête de tous
les Comités Membres de 1'ISO. I1 fut approuvé, sous réserve de quelques modifications d'ordre
rédactionnel, par les Comités Membres suivants :

1. OBJET
La présente Recommandation IS0 a pour objet de spécifier les dimensions nominales des ouver-
tures des toiles métalliques et tôles perforées dans les tamis de contrôle.
2. TYPE DES SURFACES DE TAMISAGE DANS LES TAMIS DE CONTRULE
2.1 Les toiles métalliques sont composées de fils métalliques tissés formant normalement des
ouvertures carrées.
