BRIEF HISTORY
The IS0 Recommendation R 94, Spindle Gauges /or Ring-Spinning and
Ring-Doubling Frames, was drawn up by Technical Committee ISO/TC 72,
Textile Machinery and Accessories, the Secretariat of which is held by the
Association Suisse de Normalisation (SNV).
At its very first meeting, held in Zurich, in July 1950, the Technical
Committee decided to include in its programme of work the item of spindle
gauges for ring-spinning and ring-doubling frames.
At its second meeting, held in Scheveningen, in September 1951, the
Technical Committee assigned the study of this question to a Working Group,

HISTORIQUE
La Recommandation ISO/R 94, Ecarternents des broches pour continus h
filer et d retordre ci anneaux, a été élaborée par le Comité Technique ISO/TC 72,
Matériel pour l’industrie textile, dont le Secrétariat est assuré par l’Association
Suisse de Normalisation (SNV).
Dès sa première réunion, tenue à Zurich, en juillet 1950, le Comité Tech-
nique décida d’inclure dans son programme de travail la question des écarte-
ments des broches pour continus à filer et à retordre à anneaux.

Au cours de sa deuxième réunion, tenue à Scheveningen, en septembre
1951, le Comitk Technique confia l’étude de cette question à un Groupe de
Travail, composé de la Belgique, de la France, des Pays-Bas, du Royaume-Uni,
