High-pressure decorative laminates (HPL) - Sheets based on thermosetting resins (Usually called Laminates) - Part 5: Classification and specifications for flooring grade laminates less than 2 mm thick intended for bonding to supporting substrates

This Part of EN 438 applies to five classes of flooring grade laminates less than 2 mm thick produced by using an high pressure process, intended for bonding to supporting substrates, to produce HPL flooring elements. For laminate floor covering applications they meet the surface property requirements specified in EN 13329.
High-pressure decorative flooring laminates are characterised by their high resistance to abrasion, aesthetic qualities and durability. They have good hygienic and anti-static properties and are easy to clean and maintain.
The requirements in this document apply only to the high-pressure laminate, and additional properties will need to be specified in order to define the functional performance of the finished flooring product.
This Part of EN 438 applies only to decorative laminates as defined in Clause 3.
EN 438-2 specifies the methods of test relevant to this part of EN 438.

Diese Europäische Norm gilt für sechs Klassen von Schichtpressstoffen für Fußböden mit einer Dicke kleiner als 2 mm, die durch ein Hochdruckverfahren hergestellt werden und zum Verkleben auf Träger¬ma-te¬rialien vor¬gesehen sind, um HPL Fußbodenelemente herzustellen. Für Laminatbodenanwendungen erfüllen sie die in EN 13329 fest¬ge¬legten Anforderungen an die Oberflächeneigenschaften.
Die dekorativen Hochdruck Schichtpressstoffe für Fußböden sind charakterisiert durch ihre hohe Beständig¬keit gegen Abriebbeanspruchung, ästhetische Qualitäten und ihre Dauergebrauchstauglichkeit. Sie besitzen gute hygienische und antistatische Eigenschaften und sind leicht zu reinigen und zu pflegen.
Die Anforderungen in diesem Dokument gelten nur für die Hochdruck-Schichtpressstoffe und ergänzende Eigenschaften bedürfen ihrer Festlegung, um die funktionelle Leistungsfähigkeit des fertiggestellten Fuß-bo¬den¬produktes zu definieren.
Diese Europäische Norm gilt nur für die in Abschnitt 3 definierten dekorativen Schichtpressstoffplatten.
Die für diese Europäische Norm zutreffenden Prüfverfahren sind in EN 438-2 festgelegt.

La présente Norme européenne s’applique aux six classes de stratifiés pour revêtement de sol d’épaisseur inférieure à 2 mm produits par un procédé haute pression, destinés à être collés sur des supports pour constituer des éléments de sol HPL. Pour les applications de revêtements de sol stratifiés, ils satisfont aux exigences de caractéristiques de surface spécifiées dans l’EN 13329.
Les stratifiés décoratifs haute pression pour revêtement de sols se caractérisent par leur résistance élevée à l’abrasion, leurs qualités esthétiques et leur durabilité. Ils possèdent de bonnes caractéristiques hygiéniques et antistatiques, tout en étant faciles à nettoyer et à entretenir.
Les exigences prescrites dans le présent document s’appliquent seulement à la plaque de stratifié haute pression et des caractéristiques supplémentaires devront être spécifiées pour afin de définir la performance fonctionnelle du produit de revêtement de sol fini.
La Norme européenne s’applique exclusivement aux stratifiés décoratifs définis dans l’Article 3.
L’EN 438 2 spécifie les méthodes d’essai correspondant à la présente Norme européenne.

Ta del standarda EN 438 se uporablja za pet razredov talnih laminatov z debelino manj kot 2 mm, ki so izdelani z visokotlačnim postopkom in namenjeni za vezavo na nosilne materiale za proizvodnjo talnih dekorativnih visokotlačnih laminatov. Za talne laminatne obloge ustrezajo zahtevam glede lastnosti površin, določenim v standardu EN 13329.
Za dekorativne visokotlačne talne laminate so značilni izredna odpornost na obrabo, estetska kakovost in trajnostne lastnosti. Imajo dobre higienske in antistatične lastnosti, zaradi česar so preproste za čiščenje in vzdrževanje.
Zahteve v tem dokumentu se uporabljajo samo za visokotlačne laminate, za opredelitev funkcionalnih lastnosti končnega talnega izdelka pa je treba določiti dodatne lastnosti.
Ta del standarda EN 438 se uporablja samo za dekorativne laminate, kot je opredeljeno v točki 3.
EN 438-2 določa preskusne metode, ustrezne za ta del standarda EN 438.

1 Scope
This European Standard applies to six classes of flooring grade laminates less than 2 mm thick
