The European Standard EN 50110 consists of two parts:
- the first part EN 50110-1 contains minimum requirements valid for all CENELEC countries and some additional informative annexes dealing with safe working;
- the second part EN 50110-2 is a set of normative annexes (one per country) which specify either the present safety requirements or give the national supplements to these minimum requirements at the time when this European Standard was prepared.

The text of the draft was submitted to the Unique Acceptance Procedure and was approved by CENELEC as EN 50110-2 on 2010-03-01. This European Standard supersedes EN 50110-2:1996. Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent rights. CEN and CENELEC shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights. EN 50110-2:2010 - 4 - Introduction
The European Standard EN 50110 consists of two parts: - the first part EN 50110-1 contains minimum requirements valid for all CENELEC countries and some additional informative annexes dealing with safe working; - the second part EN 50110-2 is a set of normative annexes (one per country) which specify either the present safety requirements or give the national supplements to these minimum requirements at the time when this European Standard was prepared.
The national annexes (if any) are summarized by the respective member country.
National Committees shall notify CENELEC of any changes needed to their national annex.

10 Germany (DE)
10.1 Laws and regulations
10.1 Outlines the general requirements for health and safety at work. 10.1.1 Arbeitsschutzgesetz
The Employees-Health-and-Safety-Act is the implementation of the EU-directive 89/391/EWG and contains the minimum requirements and principles for the identification of occupational hazards, and for the minimizing and eliminating of risk. The act also requires employees to be provided with the necessary instructions and for the safety and protection of their health. 10.1.2 Arbeitsstättenverordnung
The Place-of-work-regulation establishes what the employer has to take into account when fitting out and operating places of work with respect to the safety and the protection of health of the employees. 10.1.3 Betriebssicherheitsverordnung

This Part of the Mining regulation contains the official mining regulations for electrical plants and electrical operating supplies as

European and National standards and regulations. 10.1.5 UVV "Elektrische Anlagen und Betriebsmittel" BGV A3 / GUV-V A3 This Accident-prevention-regulation has been published by the German Professional Associations. It describes the rules and requirements for safety and health in relation to electrical installations and electrical supplies.
