Textiles - Para-aramid multifilament yarns - Test methods

This standard specifies test methods applicable for para-aramid filament yarns designed for high performance applications. It applies to para-aramid filament yarns for cables, ropes, belts, braids and fabrics as used for sports, protec- tive and industrial textile applications, reinforced rubber goods, tires etc. It is not applicable for para-aramid filament yarns for fibre reinforced composites.

La présente norme européenne spécifie les méthodes d'essai applicables aux fils continus para-aramides destinés aux applications à haute performance. Elle s'applique aux fils continus para-aramides pour câbles, cordages, courroies, tresses et étoffes utilisés dans le sport, la protection et dans les applications textiles industrielles ainsi que pour les produits en caoutchouc renforcé, les pneumatiques, etc. Elle ne s'applique pas aux fils continus para-aramides pour composites renforcés par fibres.
