This document specifies:
a)   field of application;
b)   requirements for pressurised air inlet valves;
c)   dimensional and the physico-chemical properties and the properties of general hydraulic, mechanical and acoustic design of pressurised air inlet valves DN 15 to DN 50;
d)   test procedure and requirements for verifying these properties;
e)   marking and presentation;
f)   acoustics.
This document specifies the characteristics of pressurised air inlet valves DN 15 to DN 50 that are suitable for use in drinking water systems at pressures up to 1 MPa (10 bar) and temperatures up to 65 °C and for 1 h at 90 °C.

Dieses Dokument legt Folgendes fest:
a)   Anwendungsbereich;
b)   Anforderungen an druckbeaufschlagte Rohrbelüfter;
c)   maßliche, physikalisch-chemische Eigenschaften und Eigenschaften allgemeiner hydraulischer, mechanischer und akustischer Art von druckbeaufschlagten Rohrbelüftern DN 15 bis DN 50;
d)   Prüfverfahren und Anforderungen, um diese Eigenschaften nachzuweisen;
e)   Kennzeichnung;
f)   Geräuschverhalten.
Diese Norm legt die Eigenschaften von druckbeaufschlagten Rohrbelüftern in den Nennweiten DN 15 bis DN 50 fest, die für den Gebrauch in Trinkwassersystemen bei Drücken bis 1  MPa (10 bar) und Temperaturen bis 65 °C und für 1 h bei 90 °C geeignet sind.

La présente Norme européenne spécifie :
¾ le domaine d'application ;
¾ les exigences pour les clapets d'entrée d'air sous pression avec corps non plastifiés ;
¾ les caractéristiques dimensionnelles, physico-chimiques, de conception, hydrauliques, mécaniques et acoustiques de clapet d'entrée d'air sous pression DN 15 et DN 50 inclus ;
¾ la famille L, type A ;
¾ la famille L, type B ;
¾ la méthode d'essai et les exigences pour vérifier leurs caractéristiques. Pour les dispositifs combinés ) seul les essais antipollution sont à effectuer ;
¾ le marquage et la présentation à la livraison ;
¾ les caractéristiques acoustiques.
¾ la présente norme spécifie les caractéristiques de clapets d'entrée d'air sous pression de diamètre nominal DN 15 jusqu'à y compris DN 50 qui sont appropriés pour l'utilisation dans des réseaux d'eau potable à des pressions jusqu'à y compris 1 000 kPa (10 bar) et des températures jusqu'à y compris 65 °C et durant 1 h à 90 °C.

EN 14455:2005 (CEN) defines requirements for pressurised air inlet valves used to prevent pollution by backflow in potable water installations. The standard covers devices of Family L, type A and B in nominal sizes DN 15 to DN 50 (thread sizes ½" to 2") intended for drinking-water systems up to 1 MPa (10 bar) and temperatures up to 65 °C (and for 1 hour at 90 °C).
