This European Standard applies to series produced liquid coolers which operate with a (primary) refrigerant and its purpose is to establish uniform methods to test and ascertain the following: - Product identification - Capacity-Liquid flow rate-Liquid side pressure drop. This Standard does not cover technical safety aspects.

Sicherheitstechnische Gesichtspunkte sind nicht Gegenstand dieser Europäischen Norm.

La présente norme européenne s'applique aux refroidisseurs de liquides fabriqués en série qui fonctionnent avec un fluide frigorigène ; elle vise à définir des méthodes d'essai uniformes.  Les essais et les vérifications portent sur les points suivants :  - identification du produit ;  - puissance thermique ;  - débit du liquide ;  - perte d'énergie mécanique côté liquide.  La présente norme européenne ne couvre pas les aspects techniques concernant la sécurité.
