Railway applications - Braking - Empty-loaded changeover devices

This document is applicable to empty-loaded changeover devices designed to automatically sense when the load of a railway vehicle reaches a defined value (changeover mass), which represents the point at which the vehicle is classed as “loaded” and thereby requires the brake force to be adjusted accordingly to achieve the required brake performance. This document also covers manually operated empty-loaded changeover devices and the associated changeover plates.
This document specifies the requirements for the design, dimensions, manufacture and testing of empty-loaded changeover devices.

Le présent document est applicable aux dispositifs de changement de régime « Vide-Chargé » destinés à détecter automatiquement le moment où la charge d’un véhicule ferroviaire atteint une valeur définie (masse de changement de régime) ; cette valeur représente le moment où le véhicule est classé comme «chargé» et de ce fait nécessite un ajustement de l’effort de freinage pour obtenir les performances de freinage requises. Le présent document couvre également les dispositifs de changement de régime Vide-Chargé à commande manuelle et les plaques de commutation associées.
Le présent document spécifie les exigences relatives à la conception, aux dimensions, à la fabrication et aux essais des dispositifs changement de régime Vide-Chargé.
