Micrographic examination of the nonmetallic inclusion content of steels using standard pictures

This draft European prestandard defines a method of microscopic nonmetallic inclusion assessment using picture charts. The method does not apply to inclusions of length less than 3 microm or smaller than 2 microm width. Defined by a product standard or an agreement between the involved parties for certain special products inclusions with a width below 2 microm can only be evaluated according their length.

In dieser Europäischen Vornomr ist ein Verfahren zur mikroskopischen Kennzeichnung von nichtmetallischen Einschlüssen unter Verwendung von Richtreihenbildern festgelegt. Das Verfahren gilt nicht für Einschlüsse mit einer Länge kleiner als 3 mikrom.oder einer Breite kleiner als 2 mikrom. ausschließlich entsprechend ihrer Länge bewertet werden.

Le présent projet de prénorme européenne définit une méthode de cotation des inclusions microscopiques a l'aide d'images-types. La méthode ne s'applique pas aux inclusions de longueur inférieure a 3 microm ou de largeur inférieure a 2 microm. Pour certains produits spéciaux et lorsque cela est défini dans la norme de produit ou par accord entre les parties intéressées: les inclusions de largeur inférieure a 2 microm peuvent etre évaluées uniquement selon leur longueur.
