This document specifies the principal dimensional characteristics of V-ribbed pulley groove profiles, together with the corresponding endless V-ribbed belts, of PH, PJ, PK, PL and PM profiles which are used for general industrial applications except elastic belts. The PK belt was originally established for automotive accessory drive applications and ISOÂ 9981 deals specifically with that particular field.

ISO 17396:2017 specifies the principal characteristics of synchronous endless and open belts and pulleys of the profile systems T and AT for use in synchronous belt drives for mechanical power transmission and where positive indexing or synchronization can be required. NOTE Synchronous belt drives have been known by various titles in the past: for example, timing belt drives, positive belt drives, gear belt drives. The principal belt and pulley characteristics include a) nominal belt tooth dimensions, b) belt tooth pitch spacing, c) belt length and width dimensions, d) belt length measurement specifications, e) pulley groove dimensions and tolerances, f) pulley diameter and width dimensions and tolerances, and g) pulley quality specification. The belts of the profile systems T and AT are made of polyurethane with high-tension fine steel cord tension members in most cases. As far as certain forces are given in this document, these values are only valid for these kinds of belt. For polyurethane belts with different tensile cords, i.e. aramid or rubber belts reinforced with glass fibre, the values can be different. It is intended that the user and the manufacturer agree about suitable values. Open belts made of thermoplastic polyurethane can be spliced to work as endless belts in conveyor applications. In this case, the tolerances are not valid for the splicing area of the endless spliced belt.

ISO 5295:2017 establishes formulae for the calculation of power rating and centre distance of standard synchronous belts on two pulley drives. It is applicable to trapezoidal belts only. It does not apply to curvilinear synchronous belts. The numerical values of certain parameters used in the calculations depend upon the pitch and the construction of the belt and are specified by the belt manufacturer.

ISO 9563:2015 specifies the maximum and minimum electrical resistance of antistatic endless and open ended synchronous belts. This International Standard provides guidelines to allow testing of synchronous belts to prove their static conductive (dissipative) properties as well as a corresponding production control test method. The application of this International Standard is limited to new belts intended to be used in an explosive atmosphere or in situations where there is a fire risk. The test is intended to ensure that the belt is sufficiently conductive to dissipate charges of electricity which may form on it in service. In the case of a production control test, the decision is left to national standards or agreement between interested parties as to whether the test shall be carried out on each belt in a batch or on only a percentage of belts in a batch. For each proof test, the belt manufacturer shall determine which type of electrode and conductive coating material shall be used.

IEC 61020-1:2009 provides consistency in detail specifications for electromechanical switches by specifying the terminology, symbols, test methods and other necessary information. Switches covered by this specification: - are devices which open, close, or change the connection of a circuit by the mechanical motion of conducting parts (contacts); - have a maximum rated voltage of 480 V; - have a maximum rated current of 63 A. This second edition constitutes a technical revision and includes the following significant technical changes with respect to the previous edition: - The requirements of the IEC 60512 series of standards have been integrated. - Other necessary information concerning switches as specified in IEC 60512 have been implemented. The following items have been updated with respect to the first edition: - test methods were reviewed for detailed description; - the explanation for the test method of the operating force was rewritten in more detail; - the test voltage for measurement for contact bounce was reviewed; - the electrical endurance 'ON' duration in the duty cycle was harmonized with IEC 61058; - the requirements for fire hazards have been deleted; - testing methods of surface mounting switches based on the Japanese industrial standard were added.

ISO 1275.2006 specifies requirements for double-pitch precision roller chains suitable for the mechanical transmission of power and for conveyors, together with those for their associated sprockets. It covers dimensions, tolerances, length measurement, preloading and minimum tensile strengths. These double-pitch chains have been derived from some of the short-pitch transmission precision roller chains covered by ISO 606 having certain common dimensions but of double the pitch. The chains are intended for use under less onerous conditions with respect to speed and power transmitted than are the base chains from which they are derived. ISO 1275.2006 primarily applies to sprockets with 5 to 75 teeth inclusive (with intermediate numbers of teeth 5 and a half to 74 and a half inclusive). The preferred numbers of teeth are 7, 9, 10, 11, 13, 19, 27, 38 and 57.

ISO 10823:2004 gives guidelines for the selection of chain drives, composed of a roller chain and sprockets conformant with ISO 606, for industrial applications. The selection procedures and chain ratings it describes provide for roller chain drives operating under specified conditions with a life expectancy of approximately 15 000 h. Owing to the wide variations in loading characteristics, environmental conditions and achieved maintenance, it is desirable that the supplier of the chains and sprockets be consulted to ensure that the performance of the product meets the requirements specified both by the user and by this International Standard.
