Domestic cooking appliances burning gas - Part 1-1: Safety - General
This European Standard specifies the construction and performance characteristics as well as the requirements and methods of test for the safety and marking of freestanding and built-in domestic cooking appliances burning the combustible gases given in 4.1 according to the categories specified in 4.2, referred to in the text as "appliances".
This European Standard covers the following types of domestic cooking appliances, as defined in Clause 3, and belonging to the classes defined in 4.3 (see Table 1):
- independent freestanding hotplates;
- independent built-in hotplates;
- independent hotplates and grills;
- table cookers;-
- freestanding ovens;
- built-in ovens;
- freestanding or built-in grills;
- griddles;
- freestanding cookers;
- built-in cookers.
Unless specifically excluded hereafter, this European Standard applies to these appliances or their component parts, whether or not the component parts are independent or incorporated into a single appliance, even if the other heating components of the appliance use electrical energy (e.g. combined gas-electric cookers).
This European Standard includes requirements covering the electrical safety of equipment incorporated in the appliance that is associated with the use of gas. It does not include requirements covering the electrical safety of electrically heated component parts or their associated equipment ).
This European Standard does not apply to:
a) outdoor appliances;
b) appliances connected to a combustion products evacuation duct;
c) appliances having a pyrolitic gas oven;
d) appliances having covered burners which are not in conformity with the constructional requirements of 5.2.8.2.2;
e) appliances incorporating flame supervision devices and having an automatic ignition device for which the duration of the ignition attempt is limited by design;
f) appliances equipped with a burner that is periodically ignited and extinguished under the control of an automatic on/off device;

Ta evropski standard določa značilnosti načrtovanja in delovanja kot tudi zahteve in metode preskusa za varnost in označevanje samostoječih in vgrajenih plinskih kuhalnih aparatov za gospodinjstvo, podanih v točki 4.1. glede na kategorije, opredeljene v točki 4.2., v besedilu navedenih kot »aparati«. Ta evropski standard zajema naslednje tipe kuhalnih aparatov za gospodinjstvo, opredeljene v točki 3, ki pripadajo razredom, opredeljenim v točki 4.3 (glej preglednico 1):
- samostojne samostoječe grelne plošče;
- samostojne vgrajene grelne plošče;
- samostojne grelne plošče in žari;
- namizni kuhalniki;
- samostoječe pečice;
- vgrajene pečice;
- samostoječi ali vgrajeni žari;
- rešetke;
- samostoječi kuhalniki;
- vgrajeni kuhalniki.
Razen če ni izrecno izključeno v nadaljevanju, ta evropski standard velja za te aparate in njihove sestavne dele, ne glede na to, ali so sestavni deli samostojni ali vgrajeni v posamičen aparat, tudi če drugi sestavni deli aparata za segrevanje uporabljajo električno energijo (npr. kombinirani plinski-električni kuhalniki). Ta evropski standard vključuje zahteve, ki zajemajo električno varnost opreme, vgrajene v aparat, ki se navezuje na uporabo plina. Ne vključuje zahtev, ki zajemajo električno varnost sestavnih delov, kateri se segrevajo z elektriko, ali pripadajoče opreme.
Ta evropski standard ne velja za:
a) zunanje aparate;
b) naprave, povezane z vodi za praznjenje produktov izgorevanja;
c) aparate, ki imajo pirolitsko pečico;
d) aparate, ki imajo pokrite gorilnike, ki niso v skladu z konstrukcijskimi zahtevami iz točke 5.2.8.2.2;
e) aparate, ki vsebujejo naprave za nadzor plamena in ki imajo samodejno naprava za vžig, za katero je trajanje poskusa vžiga omejeno z zasnovo;
f) aparate, opremljene z gorilnikom, ki se redno prižiga in ugaša pod nadzorom samodejne naprave za vklop/izklop;
g) aparate, opremljene s pečico in/ali z žarom z ventilatorjem:
1) bodisi za oskrbo z zrakom za sežig ali za praznjenje produktov izgorevanja;
2) bodisi za kroženje produktov izgorevanja znotraj predelov;
h) aparate, ki se napajajo pri tlakih, višjih od tistih, ki so opredeljeni v točki 7.1.2;
i) aparate, ki imajo enega ali več gorilnikov, ki so zmožni delovanja na daljavo (tipa 1 ali tipa 2), razen če so zadevni gorilniki termostatsko nadzorovani preko gorilnikov časovno nadzorovanih pečic, ki so zasnovane za odložen vklop, pri katerem uporabnik ni prisoten;
j) aparate, ki vsebujejo enega ali več gorilnikov za grelne plošče ali žare, ki uporabniku omogočajo, da nastavi ciklus kuhanja, vključno z začetkom in/ali s koncem ciklusa.
Ta evropski standard ne zajema zahteve, ki se nanašajo na plinske jeklenke tretje družine, njihove regulatorje in povezave. Ta evropski standard zajema zgolj tipsko preskušanje.
