Bitumen and bituminous binders - Specifications for paving grade bitumens
This European Standard provides a framework for specifying a range of properties and relevant test methods for bitumens, which are suitable for use in the construction and maintenance of roads, airfields and other paved areas, together with requirements for evaluation of conformity.
This European Standard does not directly address ‘cohesion, adhesion and setting ability’ (see Introduction).
NOTE Although industrial bitumens are specified according to EN 13305, it should be underlined that paving grade bitumens, specified according to this European Standard, can also be used for industrial applications.
Bitumen und bitumenhaltige Bindemittel - Anforderungen an Straßenbaubitumen
Diese Europäische Norm stellt ein Rahmenwerk für die Spezifizierung einer Reihe von Eigenschaften und der entsprechenden Prüfverfahren für Bitumen, die für Bau und Erhaltung von Straßen, Flugfeldern und anderen asphaltierten Flächen sowie Anforderungen für die Konformitätsbewertung zur Verfügung.
Diese Europäische Norm betrifft nicht direkt Kohäsion, Adhäsion und Einfluss des Bindemittels auf die Verfestigung von Asphalt (siehe Einleitung).
ANMERKUNG Obwohl Industriebitumen nach EN 13305 festgelegt sind, sollte betont werden, dass nach dieser Norm festgelegte Straßenbaubitumen auch als Industriebitumen verwendet werden können.

Le présent document prescrit un cadre de spécifications associé à une série de propriétés et de méthodes d'essai appropriées aux bitumes utilisables pour la construction et l’entretien des chaussées routières, des pistes d’aéroports et d’autres chaussées, ainsi que les exigences relatives à l’évaluation de la conformité.
Le présent document ne considère pas directement «la cohésion, l’adhésion et l’aptitude au durcissement» (voir le paragraphe Introduction).
NOTE Bien que les bitumes industriels soient spécifiés dans la norme EN 13305, il convient de souligner que les bitumes routiers spécifiés dans la présente norme, peuvent également être utilisés pour des applications industrielles.

Ta evropski standard določa lastnosti in ustrezne preskusne metode za bitumne, ki so primerni za gradnjo in vzdrževanje cest, letališč in drugih asfaltnih površin, skupaj z zahtevami za vrednotenje skladnosti. Ta evropski standard ne navaja direktno kohezije, adhezije in odpornosti proti otrjevanju (glej Uvod). OPOMBA: Čeprav lastnosti industrijskih bitumnov določa standard EN 13305, je treba poudariti, da se cestogradbeni bitumni, ki ustrezajo temu evropskemu standardu, lahko uporabljajo tudi v industrijske namene.

NACIONALNI UVOD
Standard SIST EN 12591 (sl), Bitumen in bitumenska veziva – Specifikacije za cestogradbene
bitumne, 2009, ima status slovenskega standarda in je enakovreden evropskemu standardu EN
12591 (en, de, fr), Bitumen and bituminous binders – Specifications for paving grade bitumens, 2009.
NACIONALNI PREDGOVOR
Evropski standard EN 12591:2009 je pripravil tehnični odbor Evropskega komiteja za standardizacijo
CEN/TC 336 Bitumenska veziva. Slovenski standard SIST EN 12591:2009 je prevod evropskega
standarda EN 12591:2009. V primeru spora glede besedila slovenskega prevoda v tem standardu je
odločilen izvirni evropski standard v enem izmed treh uradnih jezikov CEN. Slovensko izdajo
standarda je pripravil tehnični odbor SIST/TC VLA Vlaga.
Odločitev za izdajo tega standarda je dne 1. septembra 2009 sprejel SIST/TC VLA Vlaga.
