Conveyor belts - Electrical conductivity - Specification and test method (ISO 284:2012)

ISO 284:2012 specifies the maximum electrical resistance of a conveyor belt and the corresponding test method.
The test is intended to ensure that the belt is sufficiently conductive to avoid the accumulation of electrical static charge which can be developed during service use.
ISO 284:2012 is not suitable or applicable to light conveyor belts as described in ISO 21183-1, the static electrical properties of which are measured by ISO 21178.

Fördergurte - Elektrische Leitfähigkeit - Spezifikation und Prüfverfahren (ISO 284:2012)

Diese Internationale Norm legt den größten elektrischen Widerstand eines Fördergurtes und das entsprechende Prüfverfahren fest.
Mit der Prüfung soll sichergestellt werden, dass der Gurt genügend leitfähig ist, um eine Erhöhung elektrostatischer Aufladungen zu verhindern, die während des Betriebes entstehen können.
Diese Internationale Norm ist nicht geeignet oder anwendbar für leichte Fördergurte, die in ISO 21883 1 [1] beschrieben sind. Deren elektrische Eigenschaften werden nach ISO 21178 [2] gemessen.

Courroies transporteuses - Conductibilité électrique - Spécification et méthode d'essai (ISO 284:2012)

L'ISO 284:2012 spécifie la résistance électrique maximale que doit présenter une courroie transporteuse, ainsi que la méthode d'essai correspondante.
Cet essai a pour objectif de s'assurer que la courroie est suffisamment conductrice afin d'éviter l'accumulation des charges d'électricité statique qui pourraient s'y former en service.
L'ISO 284:2012 n'est pas appropriée ou applicable pour les courroies transporteuses légères décrites dans l'ISO 21183‑1, dont les propriétés d'électricité statique sont mesurées par l'ISO 21178.

Ta mednarodni standard določa največjo električno upornost trakov tračnih transporterjev in ustrezno preskusno metodo. Preskus je namenjen zagotavljanju zadostne prevodnosti traku, da se prepreči akumulacija električnega statičnega naboja, ki lahko nastane med uporabo. Ta mednarodni standard ni primeren ali uporaben za lahke trakove tračnih transporterjev, ki so opisani v standardu ISO 21183-1; njihove statične električne lastnosti se merijo z uporabo standarda ISO 21178.

This document (EN ISO 284:2012) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 41 "Pulleys and belts
(including veebelts)" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 188 “Conveyor belts” the secretariat
of which is held by SNV.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical
text or by endorsement, at the latest by June 2013, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at
the latest by June 2013.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent
rights. CEN [and/or CENELEC] shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
This document supersedes EN ISO 284:2003.
