This document specifies requirements for the qualification of operators of laser metal powder bed fusion machines and equipment for additive manufacturing, except for aerospace applications. This document defines general criteria for the qualification of machine operators, the activities and procedures regardless the process used in the part production.

Additive Fertigung von Metallen - Grundsätze der Qualifizierung - Teil 2: Grundlegende Qualifizierung von Maschinenbedienern für PBF-LB (ISO/ASTM 52926-2:2023)

Dieses Dokument bestimmt die Fähigkeiten und Verantwortlichkeiten, die für die Qualifizierung der Bediener auf dem Gebiet der Additiven Fertigungstechnologien erforderlich sind, die sich mit der Herstellung von Metallteilen befassen, insbesondere für den Einsatz von pulverbettbasiertem Schmelzen mittels Laserstrahl mit Metallen (PBF LB/M).
Dieses Dokument bestimmt Kriterien für die theoretische und praktische Beurteilung von Personal, das PBF LB/M-Maschinen bedient. Die für den PBF LB/M-Bediener vorgesehenen Tätigkeiten und Verfahren sind ebenfalls Bestandteil dieses Dokuments.
Dieses Dokument ist als Gliederung für die Qualifizierung von Maschinenbedienern in der additiven Fertigung in allgemeinen industriellen Anwendungen konzipiert. Gibt es branchenspezifische Anforderungen für die Qualifikation von Bedienern in der additiven Fertigung, wie z. B. ISO/ASTM 52942 für Anwendungen in der Luft- und Raumfahrt, so werden diese branchenspezifischen Normen anstelle dieses Dokuments angewendet.

Le présent document identifie les capacités et les responsabilités exigées pour la qualification des opérateurs de FA dans le domaine des technologies de fabrication additive traitant de la production de pièces métalliques, spécifiquement pour l'emploi de la fusion sur lit de poudre – faisceau laser sur métaux (PBF-LB/M, powder bed fusion - laser beam with metals).
Le présent document identifie les critères pour l'évaluation théorique et pratique du personnel utilisant des machines de PBF-LB/M. Les activités et procédures prévues pour être exécutées par l'opérateur de PBF-LB/M font également partie du présent document.
Le présent document est destiné à fournir une vue d'ensemble pour la qualification des opérateurs de machines de FA dans les applications industrielles générales. Lorsque des exigences spécifiques de l'industrie existent pour la qualification des opérateurs de FA, telles que l'ISO/ASTM 52942 pour les applications aérospatiales, ces normes spécifiques de l'industrie sont utilisées au lieu du présent document.

This document (EN ISO/ASTM 52926-2:2023) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 261
"Additive manufacturing" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 438 “Additive
Manufacturing” the secretariat of which is held by AFNOR.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by May 2024, and conflicting national standards shall be
withdrawn at the latest by May 2024.
