Structural adhesives - Determination of the pot life (working life) of multi-component adhesives (ISO 10364:2024)

This document specifies methods for determining the pot life of multi-part adhesives, in order to be able to determine whether the pot life conforms to the minimum specified working life required of an adhesive.
The different methods described in this document to measure the property do not necessarily provide identical results.
The test methods described are suitable for assessing all multi–part adhesives, and especially epoxy based and polyurethane based adhesives, but they are not suitable for some acrylic-based adhesives.
NOTE 1       Some of the methods described in this document can also be suitable for determination of working life of one-part adhesives that react to humidity (e.g. PUR prepolymers).
NOTE 2       This document can also be used for assessing non-structural adhesives.

Strukturklebstoffe - Bestimmung der Topfzeit (Verarbeitungszeit) von Mehrkomponentenklebstoffen (ISO 10364:2024)

Dieses Dokument legt Verfahren für die Bestimmung der Topfzeit von Mehrkomponentenklebstoffen fest, um feststellen zu können, ob die Topfzeit der bei einem Klebstoff erforderlichen festgelegten minimalen Verarbeitungszeit entspricht.
Die verschiedenen in diesem Dokument beschriebenen Verfahren zur Messung dieser Eigenschaft liefern nicht zwingend identische Ergebnisse.
Die beschriebenen Prüfverfahren sind zur Bestimmung aller Mehrkomponentenklebstoffe geeignet, insbesondere für Klebstoffe auf Epoxid- und Polyurethanbasis, jedoch nicht für einige Acrylklebstoffe.
ANMERKUNG 1   Einige der in diesem Dokument beschriebenen Verfahren können auch zur Bestimmung der Verarbeitungszeit von Einkomponentenklebstoffen, die mit Feuchtigkeit reagieren (z. B. PUR-Prepolymere), geeignet sein.
ANMERKUNG 2   Dieses Dokument kann auch zur Bestimmung von Nicht-Strukturklebstoffen verwendet werden.

Ta dokument opisuje metode za ugotavljanje roka uporabnosti večkomponentnih lepil z namenom določanja, če se ta ujema z najkrajšim določenim rokom uporabnosti lepila.
Različne metode, opisane v tem dokumentu za merjenje lastnosti, nujno ne dajejo enakih rezultatov.
Opisane preskusne metode so primerne za ocenjevanje vseh večkomponentnih lepil, zlasti tistih, ki temeljijo na epoksi in poliuretanskih lepilih, niso pa primerne za nekatera akrilna lepila.
OPOMBA 1: Nekatere od metod, opisanih v tem dokumentu, so prav tako lahko primerne za ugotavljanje roka uporabnosti enokomponentnih lepil, ki reagirajo na vlago (npr. prepolimerov PUR).
OPOMBA 2: Ta dokument se lahko uporablja tudi za ocenjevanje nekonstrukcijskih lepil.

This document (EN ISO 10364:2024) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 61 "Plastics"
in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 193 “Adhesives” the secretariat of which is held by
UNE.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by August 2024, and conflicting national standards shall
be withdrawn at the latest by August 2024.
