Protective clothing for users of hand-held chainsaws - Part 11: Requirements for upper body protectors

This European Standard, part 11, specifies the requirements which apply when assessing the protection offered by upper body protectors against cutting by a hand-held chainsaw in particular by means of the test methods described in its part 10. The requirements relating to ergonomic properties, identification, marking and information supplied by the manufacturer including selection criteria and instructions for use, are also specified.

Teil 11 der vorliegenden Europäischen Norm legt die zutreffenden Anforderungen für die Bewertung des Schutzes fest, den Oberkörperschutzmittel gegen Schnittverletzungen durch eine handgeführte Kettensäge bieten, insbesondere mit Hilfe der in Teil 10 der vorliegenden Norm beschriebenen Prüfverfahren. Die Anforderungen hinsichtlich der ergonomischen Eigenschaften, der Kennzeichnung und der Herstellerangaben einschließlich der Auswahlkriterien und Gebrauchsanweisungen werden ebenfalls festgelegt.

La présente norme européenne, partie 11, spécifie les exigences qui s'appliquent pour évaluer la protection offerte par les vestes de protection contre les coupures dues aux scies à chaîne tenues à la main, plus particulièrement à l'aide des méthodes d'essai décrites dans la partie 10. Les exigences relatives aux propriétés ergonomiques, à l'identification, au marquage et aux informations fournies par le fabricant, y compris les critères de sélection et les instructions d'utilisation, sont également spécifiées.
