Self-propelled agricultural machines - Road safety - Basic requirements

This European Standard specifies the road safety requirements for self-propelled agricultural machines.
It applies to self-propelled machines exceeding a maximum design speed of 6 km/h running on tyres or endless tracks and falling within the scope of Directive 2006/42/EC and which may be required to travel occasionally on the public road network.
This document is not applicable to self-propelled agricultural machines consisting of machines mounted on a vehicle chassis covered by Directive 2007/46/EC.
This document is not applicable to self-propelled agricultural machines which are manufactured before the date of publication of this document by CEN.
NOTE 1 For the purpose of this European Standard a public road shall be defined as a road to which vehicles have access and on which either the machines and/or operator must be licensed. Industrial sites, work sites and agricultural and forestry land shall not be considered as a public road for this purpose.
NOTE 2 Directive 2007/46/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 5 September 2007 establishing a framework for the approval of motor vehicles and their trailers, and of systems, components and separate technical units intended for such vehicles

La présente Norme européenne spécifie les prescriptions de sécurité pour la circulation sur la route des machines agricoles automotrices.
Elle s’applique aux machines automotrices conçues pour une vitesse maximum supérieure à 6 km/h montées sur roues ou chenilles et qui peuvent avoir besoin de se déplacer occasionnellement sur les voies de circulation publiques.
Le présent document ne s’applique pas aux machines agricoles automotrices :
-   constituées de machines montées sur un châssis d’un véhicules à moteur ;
-   qui sont fabriquées avant la date de publication du présent document par le CEN.
NOTE   La Directive 2007/46/CE du parlement européen et du conseil du 5 septembre 2007 établissant un cadre pour la réception des véhicules à moteur, de leurs remorques et des systèmes, des composants et des entités techniques destinés à ces véhicules est destinée à de tels véhicules.
