Specification for masonry units - Part 2: Calcium silicate masonry units
This European Standard specifies the characteristics and performance requirements of calcium silicate masonry units for which the main intended uses are inner walls, outer walls, cellars, foundations and external chimney masonry.
This European Standard is intended to apply to all calcium silicate masonry units, including those of an overall nonrectangular parallelepiped shape, specially shaped and accessory units.
It defines the performance related to e.g. strength, density and dimensional accuracy, measured according to the corresponding test methods contained in separate European Standards.
It provides for the evaluation of conformity of the product to this European Standard. The marking requirement for products covered by this document is also included.
This European Standard does not specify standard sizes for calcium silicate masonry units, nor standard work dimensions and angles of specially shaped and accessory units.
It does not cover units with more than 60 % volume of voids, nor products made from shale as a major raw material.
It does not cover storey height panels.
It does not cover units intended for use as a damp proof course, nor units with an incorporated thermal insulation material bonded to the faces of the unit susceptible to be exposed to fire, nor chimney flue units.

Diese Europäische Norm legt die Eigenschaften und die Anforderungen an die Leistungsfähigkeit von Kalksandsteinen fest, die vorwiegend zur Herstellung von Innenwänden, Außenwänden, Kellern, Gründungen und Schornstein¬außen¬mauerwerk verwendet werden.
Diese Europäische Norm gilt für alle Kalksandsteine einschließlich nicht allseitig von Rechtecken begrenzter Steine sowie Form- und Ergänzungssteinen.
Sie legt die Produkteigenschaften unter anderem bezüglich Festigkeit, Rohdichte und Maßabweichungen fest, die nach den entsprechenden, in gesonderten Europäischen Normen enthaltenen Prüfverfahren bestimmt werden.
Die Konformitätsbewertung der von dieser Europäischen Norm erfassten Produkte ist festgelegt. Die Anfor-derungen an die Kennzeichnung von Produkten, die diesem Dokument entsprechen, sind ebenfalls festgelegt.
Diese Europäische Norm enthält keine genormten Größen für Kalksandsteine sowie keine Sollmaße und keine Winkel für Form- und Ergänzungssteine.
Sie gilt weder für Kalksandsteine mit einem Lochanteil von mehr als 60 % noch für Produkte, zu deren Herstellung überwiegend Schiefer als Ausgangsstoff verwendet wird.
Sie gilt nicht für geschosshohe Elemente.
Sie gilt weder für Steine, die zur Herstellung feuchtesperrender Schichten verwendet werden, noch für Steine mit integrierter Wärmedämmung, wenn diese auf einer Seite des Mauersteins aufgebracht ist, die Feuer aus-gesetzt sein kann, noch für Formblöcke für Schornsteine.

La présente Norme européenne définit les caractéristiques et les exigences de performances des éléments
de maçonnerie en silico-calcaire dont les utilisations principales prévues sont les murs intérieurs, les murs
extérieurs, les caves, les fondations et les conduits extérieurs de fumée.
La présente Norme européenne est destinée à s'appliquer à tous les éléments de maçonnerie en silicocalcaire,
y compris ceux dont la forme générale n'est pas un parallélépipède rectangle, ceux ayant une forme
spéciale et les éléments accessoires.
Elle définit les performances relatives à la résistance, la masse volumique, la précision dimensionnelle,
mesurées selon les méthodes d'essai correspondantes se trouvant dans d'autres normes européennes.
Elle permet l'évaluation de la conformité du produit à la présente Norme européenne. Elle inclut l'exigence de
marquage des produits qu'il couvre.
La présente Norme européenne ne préconise ni les dimensions normalisées des éléments de maçonnerie en
silico-calcaire, ni les dimensions normalisées de fabrication et les angles des éléments accessoires et de ceux
ayant une forme spéciale.
Elle ne traite ni des éléments ayant un volume de vides supérieur à 60 %, ni des produits fabriqués à partir
d'un schiste argileux comme principale matière première.
Elle ne concerne pas non plus les panneaux hauteur d'étage.
Elle ne couvre ni les éléments destinés à servir de barrière d'étanchéité, ni ceux dont les faces susceptibles
d'être exposées au feu comportent un matériau isolant thermique, ni les éléments pour conduits intérieurs de
fumée.

Ta evropski standard določa značilnosti in zahteve za zmogljivost apneno peščenih zidakov, ki so v glavnem predvideni za uporabo pri zidavi notranjih sten, zunanjih sten, kleti, temeljev in zunanjosti dimnikov. Ta evropski standard velja za vse apneno peščene zidake, vključno z zidaki nepravokotne paralelepipedne oblike, zidaki posebnih oblik in pomožnimi zidaki. Opredeljuje zmogljivosti v zvezi z npr. močjo, gostoto in dimenzijsko natančnostjo, izmerjeno v skladu z ustreznimi preskusnimi metodami, navedenimi v ločenih evropskih standardih. Zagotavlja oceno skladnosti proizvoda s tem evropskim standardom. Vključena je tudi zahteva za označevanje proizvodov, ki jih zajema ta dokument. secretariat of which is held by BSI.
