La présente partie de la série EN 13230 définit les prescriptions spécifiques relatives aux éléments spéciaux.
Ces prescriptions s'ajoutent à celles de l'EN 13230 1:2016 et sont nécessaires pour disposer d'une norme complète traitant des éléments spéciaux.
Ces éléments spéciaux sont des éléments particuliers en béton précontraint tels que des traverses ou supports spéciaux, ainsi que des éléments spéciaux en béton armé. Ils sont généralement utilisés pour des applications spéciales dans la voie, telles que les voies sans ballast, les ponts et les contre-rails.
La présente partie du prEN 13230 définit les autres critères techniques et procédures de contrôle concernant la fabrication et les essais des éléments spéciaux. Elle complète les prescriptions des EN 13230 2:2016, FprEN 13230 3:2016 et EN 13230 4:2016.
