Railway applications - Front windscreens for train cabs

This European Standard specifies the functional requirements for cab windscreens of high speed trains including testing and conformity assessment. The same requirements can be applied to the windscreens of other types of rolling stock if some of the performance criteria are adjusted to suit the application. Such changes should be based on national standards or infrastructure controller’s regulations where they exist.
This European Standard does not specify all interfaces between the windscreen and the vehicle.
This European Standard does not apply to the renewal of windscreens of high speed rolling stock already in operation.

Diese Europäische Norm legt die funktionellen Anforderungen für Führerraum Frontscheiben von Hoch¬geschwindigkeitszügen, einschließlich Prüfungen und Konformitätsbewertungen, fest. Die Anforderungen sind auch für andere Zugtypen anwendbar, wenn einige der Leistungskriterien für den Einsatz angepasst werden. Die Änderungen sollten auf der Basis bestehender nationaler Normen oder der Vorschriften von Infrastruktur¬betreibern durchgeführt werden.
Diese Europäische Norm definiert nicht alle Schnittstellen zwischen Frontscheibe und Fahrzeug.
Diese Europäische Norm gilt nicht für die Erneuerung von Frontscheiben in Hochgeschwindigkeitszügen, die bereits im Betrieb sind.

Applications ferroviaires - Vitres frontales des cabines des trains

La présente Norme européenne spécifie des exigences fonctionnelles applicables aux vitres frontales des trains à grande vitesse, incluant des dispositions relatives aux essais et à l'évaluation de la conformité. Des exigences similaires peuvent être appliquées aux vitres frontales d’autres types de matériel roulant si certains critères de performance sont ajustés en fonction de l’application.
La présente Norme européenne ne spécifie pas toutes les interfaces entre la vitre frontale et le véhicule.
La présente Norme européenne ne s’applique pas au renouvellement des vitres frontales du matériel roulant à grande vitesse déjà en service.
