This part of EN 508 specifies requirements for self-supporting external profiled sheets for roof covering, wall cladding, lining and liner tray products for discontinuous laying made from aluminium sheet with or without surface treatment (additional organic coatings or anodising).
This document establishes general characteristics, definitions, classifications and labelling for the products, together with requirements for the materials from which the products can be manufactured. It is intended to be used either by manufacturers to ensure that their products comply with the requirements or by purchasers to verify that the products comply before they are made available on the market before being despatched from the factory. It specifies the requirements for products which enable them to meet all normal service conditions.
This document applies to all discontinuously laid self-supporting external profiled sheets for roof covering, wall cladding, lining and liner trays with the exception of tiles with a surface area less than 1 m2 and produced by stamping. These profiled roof sheets are designed to keep wind, rain and snow out of the building, and to transfer any resultant loads and infrequent maintenance loads to the structure.
This document does not cover products for structural purposes, i.e. it does cover products used in structural class III (according to EN 1999-1-4), it does not cover products used in constructions of Structural Classes I and II (according to EN 1999-1-4) intended to contribute to the global or partial stability of the building structure by providing racking resistance or resistance of permanent static loads (excluding self-weight of the metal sheet).
No requirements for supporting construction, design of roof system and execution of connections and flashings are included.

Dieser Teil der EN 508 spezifiziert die Anforderungen an selbsttragende Außen-Profilbleche für Dacheindeckung, Wandbekleidung, Verblendung und Kassettenprodukte zur diskontinuierlichen Verlegung aus Aluminiumblech mit oder ohne Oberflächenbehandlung (zusätzliche organische Beschichtungen oder Anodisierung).
Dieses Dokument legt die allgemeinen Merkmale, Definitionen, Klassifizierungen und Beschriftung für die Produkte gemeinsam mit Anforderungen an die Materialien, aus denen die Produkte hergestellt werden können, fest. Es ist vorgesehen für die Verwendung entweder durch den Hersteller, der damit sicherstellt, dass seine Produkte den Anforderungen genügen, oder durch Kunden zur Überprüfung, ob die Produkte anforderungsgemäß sind, bevor sie aus der Fabrik versandt und auf dem Markt angeboten werden. Sie spezifiziert die Anforderungen an Produkte, die diesen ermöglichen, allen normalen Einsatzbedingungen zu genügen.
Dieses Dokument gilt für alle diskontinuierlich verlegten selbsttragenden Außen-Profilbleche für die Dacheindeckung, Wandbekleidung und Verblendung sowie für Kassettenprofile, nicht jedoch für Dachpfannen mit einer Fläche von unter 1 m2, die durch Stanzen hergestellt wurden. Diese Profil-Dachbleche sind dafür ausgelegt, das Eindringen von Wind, Regen und Schnee in das Gebäude zu verhindern und jegliche aus diesen und aus unregelmäßiger Wartung resultierenden Lasten auf das Gebäude zu übertragen.
Diese Norm gilt nicht für Produkte für tragende Zwecke, d. h. sie gilt für Produkte, die in Konstruktionsklasse III (nach EN 1999 1 4) verwendet werden, und sie gilt nicht für Produkte, die in Bauten der Konstruktionsklassen I und II (nach EN 1999 1 4) verwendet werden, die für einen Beitrag zur gesamten oder teilweisen Stabilität der Gebäudestruktur vorgesehen sind, indem sie Widerstand gegen Streckung oder gegen dauerhafte statische Lasten bereitstellen (außer Eigengewicht des Metallblechs).
Anforderungen an die Unterkonstruktion, die Konstruktion des Dachsystems und die Ausführung von Verbindungen und Kehlblechen sind nicht enthalten.

La présente partie de l'EN 508 spécifie les prescriptions relatives aux produits autoportants de couverture, bardages intérieurs et extérieurs, cloisons pour pose en discontinu en tôle d'aluminium avec ou sans traitement de surface (revêtements organiques supplémentaires ou anodisation).
Le présent document établit les caractéristiques générales, les définitions, les classifications et l'étiquetage applicables aux produits, de même que les prescriptions relatives aux matériaux à partir desquels les produits peuvent être fabriqués. Il est destiné à être utilisé soit par des fabricants en vue de démontrer que leurs produits sont conformes aux prescriptions, soit par des acheteurs pour vérifier que les produits sont conformes avant leur mise à disposition sur le marché, avant leur expédition de l’usine. Il spécifie les prescriptions relatives aux produits pour leur permettre de répondre à toutes les conditions normales en service.
Le présent document s'applique à toutes les plaques autoportantes profilées extérieures de couverture, de bardages intérieurs et extérieurs, de cloisons posées en discontinu, à l'exception des dalles d'une surface inférieure à 1 m² et produites par emboutissage. Ces plaques profilées sont conçues pour empêcher le vent, la pluie et la neige de pénétrer dans le bâtiment et transmettent à la structure porteuse les charges qui en résultent ainsi que les charges occasionnelles dues aux opérations d'entretien.
Le présent document ne couvre pas les produits pour applications structurelles, c'est-à-dire qu'il couvre les produits utilisés dans la classe structurelle III (selon EN 1999-1-4), il ne couvre pas les produits destinés aux constructions de classes structurelles I et II (selon EN 1999-1-4) destinés à contribuer à la stabilité globale ou partielle de la structure du bâtiment ou apportant un contreventement ou une résistance aux charges statiques permanentes (à l'exclusion du poids propre de la plaque métallique).
Aucune exigence relative à la structure porteuse, à la conception du système de toiture et à la réalisation des assemblages et des finitions n'est incluse.

Ta del standarda EN 508 določa zahteve za samonosilne zunanje profilirane pločevine za strešne kritine, zunanje in notranje stenske obloge ter izdelke iz profilne kritine za nezvezno polaganje, izdelane iz aluminijeve pločevine s površinsko obdelavo ali brez nje (dodatne organske prevleke ali anodiziranje).
Ta standard določa splošne lastnosti, definicije, klasifikacije in označevanje za izdelke ter zahteve za materiale, iz katerih so izdelki lahko proizvedeni. Namenjen je proizvajalcem, da se zagotovi skladnost njihovih izdelkov z zahtevami, oziroma kupcem, da lahko preverijo skladnost izdelkov, še preden so ti dani na trg. Določa zahteve za izdelke, ki omogočajo, da slednji izpolnjujejo vse običajne pogoje uporabe.
Ta standard se uporablja za vse nezvezno položene samonosilne zunanje profilirane pločevine za strešne kritine, zunanje in notranje obloge ter profilne kritine z izjemo ploščic, ki imajo površino manjšo od 1 m2 in so izdelane z vtiskavanjem. Te profilirane strešne pločevine so zasnovane tako, da stavbo ščitijo pred vetrom, dežjem in snegom, pri čemer morebitne nastale obremenitve in obremenitve zaradi nerednega vzdrževanja prenesejo na konstrukcijo.
