Electric clothes washer-dryers for household use - Methods of measuring the performance

This European Standard specifies the test methods which shall be applied in accordance with the Commission Directive 96/60/EC of 19 September 1996 implementing Council Directive 92/75/EEC with regard to energy labelling of household combined washer-driers. It deals with – performance criteria, including energy and water consumption, for the 60 °C cotton wash programme as specified in EN 60456:2005, – energy and water consumption of the drying cycle based on the “Dry cotton programme“ as specified in EN 61121:2005, – permitted tolerances to values declared by the manufacturer and control procedures for checking these declared values. This European Standard is concerned neither with safety nor with performance requirements. NOTE Washer-dryers for communal use in blocks of flats or in launderettes are within the scope of this standard, but machines for commercial laundries are not included.

Diese Europäische Norm legt die Prüfverfahren fest, die gemäß der Richtlinie 96/60/EG der Kommission vom 19. September 1996 zur Durchführung der Richtlinie 92/75/EWG des Rates betreffend die Energieetikettierung für kombinierte Haushalts-Wasch-Trockenautomaten Sie behandelt – Kriterien der Gebrauchseigenschaften, einschließlich Energie- und Wasserverbrauch, für das 60 °C Baumwoll-Waschprogramm, wie in EN 60456:2005 festgelegt, – Energie- und Wasserverbrauch des Trocknungsvorganges, basierend auf dem Programm „schranktrocken Baumwolle“, wie in EN 61121:2005 festgelegt, – zulässige Toleranzen zu den vom Hersteller angegebenen Werten und Kontrollverfahren zur Überprüfung dieser angegebenen Werte. Diese Europäische Norm behandelt weder Anforderungen zur Sicherheit noch zu Gebrauchseigenschaften. ANMERKUNG Wasch-Trockner zur Gemeinschaftsbenutzung in Wohnblöcken oder in Waschsalons gehören zum Anwendungsbereich dieser Norm, Maschinen für gewerbliche Wäschereien sind aber nicht eingeschlossen.

Lavantes-séchantes électriques à usage domestique - Méthodes de mesure de l'aptitude à la fonction

La présente Norme Européenne spécifie les méthodes d’essai qui doivent être appliquées conformément à la Directive 96/60/CE du 19 septembre 1996 mettant en œuvre la Directive 92/75/CEE du Conseil concernant l’étiquetage de la consommation d'énergie des lavantes-séchantes à usage domestique. Elle traite des caractéristiques suivantes: – critères de performances, y compris les consommations d'énergie et d'eau, pour le programme de lavage du coton à 60 °C tel que spécifié dans la EN 60456:2005, – consommations d'énergie et d'eau du cycle de séchage sur la base du “programme pour charge de coton sec” tel que spécifié dans la EN 61121:2005, – tolérances permises pour les valeurs déclarées par le fabricant et procédures de contrôle pour la vérification de ces valeurs déclarées. Cette Norme Européenne ne traite pas des prescriptions de sécurité ni des valeurs exigées pour les caractéristiques d'aptitude à la fonction. NOTE Les lavantes-séchantes à usage collectif utilisées dans les ensembles d'habitation ou dans les blanchisseries automatiques sont comprises dans le domaine d'application de la présente norme mais les machines à usage commercial ne sont pas concernées.

EN 50229:2007 - 2 - Foreword This European Standard was prepared by the Technical Committee CENELEC TC 59X, Consumer information related to household electrical appliances, according to the decisions made by CLC/TC 59X at the meeting in September 22nd/23rd 2005 and of CLC/TC 59X WG 1 at the meeting 21st/22nd September 2005.
The text of the draft was submitted to the Unique Acceptance Procedure and was approved by CENELEC as EN 50229 on 2007-06-01. This European Standard supersedes EN 50229:2001. The following dates were fixed: – latest date by which the EN has to be implemented at national level by publication of an identical national standard or by endorsement

2008-06-01 – latest date by which the national standards conflicting with the EN have to be withdrawn

2010-06-01 It is based on the EN 50229:2001 taking into account the current versions of EN 60456:2005 and EN 61121:2005. Significant technical differences to the revised second edition, EN 50229:2001, are: • revised referring to revised EN 60456; • revised referring to revised EN 61121. This European Standard has been prepared under a mandate given to CENELEC by the European Commission and the European Free Trade Association and covers essential requirements of EC Directive 96/60/EC implementing Council Directive 92/75/EEC on ”Indication by labelling and standard product information of the consumption of energy and other resources by household appliances“. It deals only with those test procedures that are required for the EC Directive as described in the scope of this standard. It also defines permitted tolerances to values declared by the manufacturer and control procedures for checking these values. _____________
