Electric vehicle wireless power transfer (WPT) systems - Part 2: Specific requirements for MF-WPT system communication and activities
This Part of IEC 61980 addresses communication and activities of magnetic field wireless power transfer (MF-WPT) systems. The requirements in this document are intended to be applied for MF-WPT systems accordin to IEC 61980-3 and ISO 19363. The aspects covered in this document include: - operational and functional characteristics of the MF-WPT communication system and related activities - operational and functional characteristics of the positioning system The following aspects are under consideration for future documents: - requirements for two- and three-wheel vehicles, - requirements for MF-WPT systems supplying power to EVs in motion, and - requirements for bidirectional power transfer Note: Any internal communication at Supply device or EV device is not in the scope of this document

IEC 61980-2:2023 traite de la communication et des activités des systèmes de transfert d’énergie sans fil en champ magnétique (MF-WPT). Les exigences du présent document sont destinées à être appliquées aux systèmes MF-WPT conformément aux normes CEI 61980-3 et ISO 19363. Les aspects traités dans le présent document comprennent les caractéristiques opérationnelles et fonctionnelles du système de communication MF-WPT et des activités connexes, ainsi que les caractéristiques opérationnelles et fonctionnelles du système de positionnement. Les aspects ci-après sont à l’étude pour les futurs documents: - prescriptions applicables aux véhicules à deux et trois roues; les - exigences relatives aux systèmes MF-WPT alimentant les véhicules électriques en mouvement; - exigences pour le transfert de puissance bidirectionnel. NOTE Toute communication interne au niveau du dispositif d’alimentation ou du dispositif EV n’entre pas dans le domaine d’application du présent document

Ta del IEC 61980 obravnava komunikacijo in dejavnosti sistemov MF-WPT.
Zahteve iz tega dokumenta so namenjene uporabi za sisteme MF-WPT v skladu s standardoma IEC 61980-3 in ISO 19363.
V tem dokumentu so zajeti naslednji vidiki:
– operativne lastnosti in lastnosti delovanja komunikacijskega sistema MF-WPT ter povezanih dejavnosti
– operativne lastnosti in lastnosti delovanja sistema za določanje položaja
Za morebitno vključitev v prihodnje dokumente se obravnavajo naslednji vidiki:
– zahteve za dvo- in trikolesna vozila;
– zahteve za sisteme MF-WPT, ki napajajo električna vozila v gibanju;
– zahteve za dvosmerni prenos energije.
Opomba: Na področje uporabe tega dokumenta ne spada notranja komunikacija na ravni napajalne naprave ali naprave električnega vozila (EV).

power/energy transfer systems for electrically propelled road vehicles and industrial trucks" was
submitted to the IEC-CENELEC parallel vote and approved by CENELEC as EN IEC 61980-2:2023.
The following dates are fixed:
• latest date by which the document has to be implemented at national (dop) 2024-03-07
level by publication of an identical national standard or by endorsement
• latest date by which the national standards conflicting with the (dow) 2026-06-07
