This document specifies requirements for the construction, performance, testing and safety specifications for general purpose self service basket trolleys, fitted with a baby and/or child carrying facility(ies) for use by customers of self service stores to carry goods.
This document applies to basket trolleys conforming to EN 1929-1 with the following arrangements:
3 One baby carrying facility;
3 Two baby carrying facilities;
3 One baby carrying facility, one child carrying facility;
3 Two child carrying facilities.
This document applies to manually driven trolleys that are not intended for use on passenger conveyors.
The technical characteristics of accessories (see 3.8 of EN 1929-1:1998) are not covered by this document.
Einkaufswagen - Teil 7: Anforderungen und Prüfungen für Einkaufswagen mit Babyschale und Kindersitz
Dieses Dokument legt Anforderungen für die Konstruktion, Ausführung, Prüfung und Sicherheitsangaben von Einkaufswagen für den allgemeinen Gebrauch fest, die mit einer Babyschale und/oder (einem) Kindersitz(en) ausgerüstet sind, zur Benutzung durch Kunden von Selbstbedienungsgeschäften zum Transport von Waren.
Dieses Dokument bezieht sich auf Einkaufswagen nach EN 1929-1 mit folgenden Ausstattungen:
- eine Babyschale,
- zwei Babyschalen,
- eine Babyschale, ein Kindersitz,
- zwei Kindersitze.
Dieses Dokument bezieht sich auf handbetätigte Einkaufswagen, die nicht für den Einsatz auf Personenfahrsteigen bestimmt sind.
Die technischen Merkmale von Zubehör (siehe EN 1929-1:1998, 3.8) werden nicht durch dieses Dokument abgedeckt.

La présente Norme européenne spécifie les prescriptions relatives a la construction, aux performances, aux essais et aux spécifications de sécurité applicables aux chariots d'achat a corbeille pour libre-service, d'usage général, équipés de siege(s) bébé et/ou siege(s) enfant destinés a etre utilisés par les clients des magasins en libre-service pour transporter leurs achats.
Ce document s'applique aux chariots d'achat conformes a l'EN 1929-1 :1998, équipés des dispositifs suivants :
- un siege bébé ;
- deux sieges bébé ;
- un siege bébé, un siege enfant ;
- deux sieges enfant.
Ce document s'applique aux chariots d'achat a corbeille, a déplacement manuel, qui ne sont pas destinés a etre utilisés sur trottoirs roulants.
Les caractéristiques techniques des accessoires (voir 3.8 de l'EN 1929-1:1998) ne sont pas traitées dans ce document.

Foreword
This document (EN 1929-7:2005) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 291 “Self-service
shopping trolleys”, the secretariat of which is held by BSI.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical
text or by endorsement, at the latest by October 2005, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at
the latest by October 2005.
According to the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations, the national standards organizations of the following
countries are bound to implement this European Standard: Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Czech Republic,

1 Scope
This document specifies requirements for the construction, performance, testing and safety specifications for
general purpose self service basket trolleys, fitted with a baby and/or child carrying facility(ies) for use by
customers of self service stores to carry goods.
This document applies to basket trolleys conforming to EN 1929-1 with the following arrangements:
