Helmets for equestrian activities

This European Standard specifies requirement for protective helmets that may or may not have a peak, for people involved in equestrian activities. It gives safety requirements that include methods of test and levels of performance for shock absorption, for resistance to penetration and for the strength and effectiveness of the retention system and the deflection of a peak if fitted.

Schutzhelme für reiterliche Aktivitäten

Dieses Dokument legt Anforderungen an Helme, die einen Schirm haben können, für Personen bei allen reiterlichen Aktivitäten, einschließlich unter anderem Reiten, Fahren, Umgang mit Pferden und Pferdepflege, fest.
Es gibt Sicherheitsanforderungen, die Prüfverfahren und Stufen einschließen. Anforderungen und die entsprechenden Prüfverfahren sind angegeben für Folgendes:
a)   Konstruktion einschließlich Sichtfeld;
b)   stoßdämpfende Eigenschaften;
c)   Durchdringungsfestigkeit;
d)   mechanische Festigkeit bei seitlicher Verformung;
e)   Eigenschaften des Haltesystems;
f)   Durchbiegung des Schirmes (falls vorhanden);
g)   Kennzeichnung und Informationen;
h)   Verwendung von Prüfköpfen nach EN 960:2006.

Casques de protection pour sports hippiques

Le présent document spécifie les exigences pour les casques de protection pouvant comporter une visière, destinés aux personnes pratiquant toutes les activités équestres, comprenant entre autres, mais sans s'y limiter, l'équitation, l'attelage, ou le maniement et le soin des chevaux.
Le présent document donne des exigences de sécurité qui comprennent des méthodes d'essai et des niveaux de performance. Les exigences et les méthodes d'essai correspondantes couvrent les aspects suivants :
a)   construction, y compris le champ visuel ;
b)   propriétés d'absorption des chocs ;
c)   résistance à la pénétration ;
d)   résistance mécanique à la déformation latérale ;
e)   propriétés du système de rétention ;
f)   fléchissement de la visière (le cas échéant) ;
g)   marquage et informations ;
h)   utilisation de fausses têtes conformément à l'EN 960:2006.

Čelade za konjeniške aktivnosti

Ta evropski standard določa zahtevo za zaščitne čelade, ki lahko imajo ali nimajo podaljšanega sprednjega dela, namenjene ljudem, vključenim v konjeniške aktivnosti. Vključuje varnostne zahteve, ki zajemajo preskusne metode in ravni učinkovitosti absorpcije udarcev, odpornosti proti prediranju ter moči in učinkovitosti zadrževalnega sistema ter upogiba sprednjega dela, če je podaljšan.
