Rubber- or plastics-coated fabrics - Determination of tear resistance - Part 1: Constant rate of tear methods (ISO 4674-1:2003)

ISO 4674-1:2003 describes two methods for determining the forces necessary to initiate and propagate tearing of a coated fabric using the constant rate of tear method. The methods described are:
method A: tongue tear;
method B: trouser tear.

Dieser Teil der ISO 4674 legt zwei nach dem Prinzip der konstanten Ge-schwindig-keit arbeitende Verfahren zur Bestimmung der Kräfte fest, die erforderlich sind, um bei beschich-teten Flächengebilden ein Einreißen und Weiterreißen auszulösen. Die beschriebenen Verfahren sind:
¾ Verfahren A - Zungen-Weiterreißversuch;
¾ Verfahren B - Schenkel-Weiterreißversuch.

L'ISO 4674-1:2003 décrit deux méthodes de détermination des forces nécessaires pour amorcer et propager le déchirement d'un support textile revêtu en utilisant la méthode de la vitesse constante de déchirement. Les méthodes décrites sont la méthode A, de déchirement en trois languettes et la méthode B, de déchirement en deux languettes.

"Rubber and rubber products" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 248 "Textiles
and textile products", the secretariat of which is held by BSI.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of
an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by March 2004, and conflicting national
standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by March 2004.
